If you'd followed my research and backed 0-0 at odds of 32 pre match, you would have been delighted with the 0-0 at halftime.
All of the market leaders last night seemed to win 2-0.
Pandurii did take an early lead against frequent scorers Fiorentina who scored goals in the 86th and 90th minutes. A DRT there?
Last Friday provided a surprisingly quality in-play coupon, due largely to the mid week Champions League matches. Let's take a look at today's coupon and again I will be listing the obvious strong possible DRT matches first, in chronological order and then , if I have time, begin to research the lesser matches.
It seems to be a strategy that works and focusses the mind on the better matches.
6pm - Dukla Prague ( Dukla) v Bohemians 1905 ( Bohs)- 1.52 for Dukla Prague.
Do prioritise matches which feature at www.soccerstats.com. Luckily the Czech league does feature.
Standout stats
- The 2 most recent head to heads come from 2011 ( 1-0 Bohemians) and 2012 ( 2-0 Dukla home win)
- Dukla's only home defeat was a 0-1. They have had 3 1-1 draws, 2 of which came at home to top 7 sides ( Dukla are 6th and Bohs are 12th currently).
- In only 2 matches at home have Dukla scored more than 1 goal.
- There seems to be a recent worsening in Dukla goalscoring - scoring 0-1-0-1-1 in their last 5 matches. This means that any win will have to be 1-0, indeed their last 2 wins were 1-0.
- 2 of Dukla's 3 defeats this season have come away to top 3 sides.
- Dukla have scored in their last 4 matches at home.
- Both sides have had a single 0-0 each this season.
- There are no halftime stats for these sides.
- Bohs have lost all bar 1 away match. They have not drawn away. They have lost all matches away to top 4.
- Bohs have amazingly conceded exactly 5 goals in 3 away matches.
- 2 out of their 3 wins this season came at home to current bottom 3 sides.
- Like Dukla, Bohs have had very recent trouble infront of goal , scoring 0-1-0-0-1 in their last 5 matches.
- Bohs have kept only 3 clean sheets all season.
- Bohs have conceded in 7 away matches and have not won in 5 matches now.
Profitable in play opportunities
- 2 teams who cannot buy a goal in their recent matches makes for a tough match. It surely has another 1-0 written all over it?
- If Bohs score first, I would back 0-1 correct score as insurance and then lay Bohs in the match odds market. Dukla seem incapable of scoring more than 1 goal recently.
- Dukla seem the stronger of the 2 sides, losing 2 of their 3 matches to top 3 sides and away from home.
- The ultra speculative might like to back 5-0 and 5-1 incase Bohs amazingly concede 5 goals again away from home.
6pm - Videoton v Mezokovesd-Zsory( Mezo) - I have shortlisted this match largely because of the 1.18 odds for Videoton.
Interestingly, the Hungarian league is featured at www.soccerstats.com.
There are no head to heads suggesting Mezo are newcomers to the Hungarian top flight.
Standout stats
- This is a match between 1st and 15th ( of 16) so the 1.18 odds look about right?
- Videoton have won 7 at home and lost just once to 6th. Against the bottom 6 at home, Videoton have won all matches and kept all clean sheets.A tendency to score 2 or 3.
- Videoton have scored in their last 8 home matches.
- Videoton have lost their last 2 matches, interestingly 0-1 against bottom side. Perhaps a 0-1 saver tonight if Mezo can replicate their fellow basement team.
- Videoton have only had one draw all season and failed to score only in their last match away to the bottom side.
- Mezo have kept only one clean sheet all season and that was in a 0-2 away win against Honved ( one of the teams to have beaten Videoton this season).
- Mezo have lost 1-0 away to 2nd and 5-0 away to 3rd, 2 matches without scoring against a Videoton side adept at keeping clean sheets in victories at home to bottom 6 sides.
- Mezo have had 2 1-1 draws in their last 3 away matches.
- Mezo are having trouble scoring of late, scoring 1-1-0-0-1-0 in their last 6 matches.
- Mezo have conceded in their last 6 matches.
- Neither side has had a 0-0 final score this season.
Profitable in play opportunities
- Firstly let me say there are likely to be liquidity issues with this match which may preclude any profitable trading.
- Will videoton really lose a 3rd consecutive match?
- Videoton usually win 2-0 or 3-0 at home to bottom sides. IS this a good correct score?
- Mezo have lost away to 1st and 2nd without scoring, which enhances the above correct score.
- If Mezo score first, I would lay them( or back Videoton) but I would also back 0-1 incase they do what bottom side recently did v Videoton ( win 1-0)
7pm - Caen v Istres - 1.51 home
7pm - Heerenveen v Waalwijk - 1.59 home
7pm - Willem II v Almere City - 1.38 home
730pm - Monaco v Evian TG - Moneybags Monaco are 1.32 shots to prevail tonight in the Ligue 1
Standout stats
- There are no head to heads.
- Monaco could go top, albeit briefly, with a win tonight but by the same token Evian could be catapulted into the top 10 with a win in a typically tight Ligue 1 .
- 5 wins and a 0-0 draw for Monaco at home.
- Monaco's last 2 home matches were 2-1.
- Monaco are on a 4 match winning streak at home.
- Monaco have only conceded 3 goals at home ( 1 first half and 2 2nd half).
- Monaco have scored twice as many goals in the first half as second half which might allow for a 0-0 halftime score lay?
- Monaco have scored first in 5 of their 6 home matches.
- No opponent has led at halftime at Monaco.
- Falcao and Riviere are the 2 key players for Monaco. Make sure they play ( 9 goals scored at home by these 2). Falcao is the penalty taker.
- There has only been 1 0-0 full time scoreline in these 2 teams' matches this season
- Evian have lost 3-0, 3-0 and 2-0 away to top 5 sides which really is emphatic. Their wins in a drawless away sequence were against bottom 3 sides.
- Evian have lost all matches and drawn one home and away agaisnt top 10 sides.
Profitable in play opportunities
- Immediately 2-0, 3-0 looks on the cards tonight.
- Evian are highly unlikely to win if scoring first tonight.
- Monaco score 8 goals at home before halftime compared with 4 2nd half. Is this enough to lay 0-0 Halftime score? Although Evian have kept 2 0-0 halftime scores in their last 2 wins against the top 5 , recent halftime scorelines of 2-0 and 3-0
- If I was you, I would prioritise this match tonight. It is from a major league, and features 2 ultra effective forwards for Monaco. This is the kind of match which instils confidence in me .
745pm - The New Saints( TSN) v Rhyl - Off to Wales we go and The New Saints are 1.21 to prevail tonight. This match is highly unlikely to grab the attention of the Betfairians and thus remain illiquid.
The New Saints go top with a win tonight and Rhyl go 3rd
Standout stats
- 4-2-3-2-5-3 scored by TSN in head to heads.
- TSN have 1 defeat since December 12th.
- TSN have 6 clean sheets in their last 7 matches
- TSN have won their last 13 home matches , keeping 11 clean sheets
- Only 1 draw in last 13 for Rhyl was a 2-2 which suggests lay the draw traders at least would profitl
- No draw for Rhyl in 10 away matches. They lost only 3.
Profitable in play opportunities
- Of course I know little about Wales, but what I can see is TSN's clean sheets at home, their imperious home form and the lack of a draw for Rhyl. This suggests that if Rhyl score first , we can back TSN rather than lay Rhyl ( we hope Rhly avoid another draw and TSN score again and go on to win).
