30th August tennis research

Check out tennis.betfair.com for tennis stats

US OPEN

4pm - Victor Estrella Burgos v Milos Raonic  - 1.08 Milos  - potential 5 sets

Raonic
  • 80th v 6th in the World
  • 0-1 in head to heads back in 2010
  • 54 aces to 752 this year suggests Raonic's service will be hard to break.
  • 91% service games won by Raonic this year .
  • today is hard court - 3 quarter finals and a semi final in his last 4 hard court tournaments
  • Semi-final, Final, Quuarter Final, Semi final in all recent surfaces
Burgos
  • In july in Colombia, reached the semi final of their hard court tournament losing to Bernard Tomic in 3 7-6 tie breaker sets. Last hard court only managed 1st round
  • has won 3-1 in his 2 US open matches so far
  • last 3 tournaments all surfaces, semi final, 1st round, 3rd round so inconsistent
Conclusion
  • Raonic's serve will be tough to break which brings in the potential for tiebreakers 7-5, 7-6 sets here. This allows a good trading opportunity if Burgos can step u. Look for these tie breakers. If Raonic losing one, or looks like losing one, his 1.08 odds will rise making him more backable.
  • Trading angle? Lay Burgos on his serve in order to try and get a swing in the odds if it looks as if he will get broken.
7-6  7-6  7-6
------------------------------------------------------------
4pm - Kvitova v Krunic - 1.09 Kvitova - potential 3 sets

Kvitova
  • 3rd seed here  - 4th in the world v 145th which is a huge rankings gap.
  • 13 career titles plays 0
  • recent record on hard courts - quarter final, 3rd round, 2nd round  and final of the Connecticut open  winning 2-0
  • 6 consecutive 2-0 set wins now on Hard court
  • On all surfaces, reached the Final of Wimbledon winning 2-0, 3rd round, and Final so an obvious dip after Wimbledon
  • 6 consecutive 2-0 set wins on all surfaces
Krunic
  • 4 consecutive 1st round exits on hard court
  • on all surfaces, 3 1st round exits, a 2nd round  exit and now in the 3rd round today.
Conclusion
  • 2 sets to nil looks likely here. Any value? Hope Krunic breaks.Krunic did take 4 games off Simona Halep in Romania , albeit on clay, so a hope she ruffles Kvitova. Lay Krunic on her opening serve , or lay Krunic to win her first service game if the market is liquid and if we can trade it.
6-4 6-4 Krunic
--------------------------------------------------------------------

4pm -Nishikori v L Mayer - 1.33 Nishikori
Only 1 head to head back in 2003, a 3-0 win at Wimbledon

Nishikori
  • 11th v 26th in the rankings so I don't expect a Nishikori 3 sets to love win today
  • Final, 3rd round, semi final in his last 3 hard court tournaments suggests he likes this surface.
  • In the Sony Open, he beat some class players such as Dimitrov, Ferrer and Federer - a couple of top 10 players there which suggests an eventual win against a 26th ranked player
  • on all surfaces , 1st round French open, semi final Gerry weber, 4th round Wimbledon, and Quarter FInal Citi Open. Expected to progress further than the 3rd round you'd think
Mayer
  • Final on hard court in Orleans,1st round Mons, 2nd round Australian Open, 2nd round Winston Salem. All matches on hard courts have seen a win or a loss to nil sets, e.g. 2-0, 3-0. In the Australian Open, he took Djokovic to 6-4 sets twice so could mix it with Nishikori today
  • 4th round, 2nd round, Final, 2nd round on all surfaces.Beat David Ferrer on clay.
Conclusion
  • a Nishikori win expected today, given his recent wins v top 10 players on hard courts. So, if Mayer were to mix it up, and push Nishikori's odds above the 1.33 you see pre match, then back Nishikori and hope he retains that recent good hard court form.
3 sets to love win
----------------------------------------------------------------------

6pm - An Kuznetsov v Andy Murray - 1.09 Murray
No head to heads

Kuznetsov
  • recent hard form. Final, 1st round, quarter final, semi final . In the US Open, 3-1 and 3-2 sets so far suggests struggles today for this 96th ranked player v 9th ( do note Murray's decline in the rankings).
  • The hard court tournaments in which he reached at least the quarters seem filled with lower ranked players, but, glass half full, shows a man happy with hard court tennis.
  • all surfaces - 1st round, 3rd round Wimbledon, 1st round, Final. Beat David Ferrer on grass at Wimbledon which is a standout this year
Murray
  • hard court - 4th round loss to Raonic, quarter final loss to Djokovic, quarter final loss to Tsonga, quarter final loss to Federer. Consistent stuff from young Ruby Murray. We expect at least a quarter final berth in this hard court  tournament? It seems it takes a top 10 player to land a blow against Murray so expecte a win today against 96th ranked.
  • when he has lost a set, in 6 out of 7 occasions on hard, it has been the first set he has lost.
  • 3rd round, quarters, quarters, quarters in recent tournaments on all surfaces.
Conclusion
  • if Murray is to lose a set it is most likely to be the first set, so if that happens , back Murray or back 3-1 sets.  Murray consistently reaches quarter final stages , so expect a win today and a progression forward. Usually with 1.09 shots, I'd say straight off the bat, LAY THEM at such odds in a best of 5 setter. The only way is up as my close showbiz pal Yazz would say. The liability is minimal. And young Murray is prone to blowing a gasket some times.
3-1 sets Murray lost the 3rd set
----------------------------------------------------------------------
6pm - Djokovic v Querrey - 1.03 Djokovic

  • 7 wins in 8 for Djokovic . In 2012 in paris, Querrey won 2-1.
  • 5 consecutive Djokovic wins on hard courts against Querrey suggests Sam is really up against it today.
  • in 3 of the last 4 hard court matches, at least one set has gone to a tie breaker.Djokovic has the ability though to get a 6-0, 6-1 when it suits him.
Djokovic
  • on hard surfaces recently, he reached the final of the Sony Open, winning it, 3rd round of the Rogers Cup, 3rd round of the Western and Southern Open ( seen as a warm up for the US Open?) and has won the first 2 matches this us open by 3 sets to nil
Sam Querrey
  • has played almost exclusively on hard lately.2nd round , 2nd round ( grass), 2nd round, semi final of the Winston-Salem in August, and so far this US Open, 3-2 and 3-0 in 1st and 2nd round matches.
Conclusions
  • one of these sets could go to 7-6 tie breaker. A real hope it is the first set. If Djokovic wins the first set, lay 3-0 set betting in the hope Querrey takes him to a tie breaker in one of the remaining sets. Laying 3-0 sets when Djokovic has won the first set means we'll be getting really short odds .
3 sets to love
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
630pm - Vesnina v Azarenka - 1.23 away
I want Azarenka to lose just so we don't have to suffer the indignity of close-ups of her bell-end boyfriend with the big hair and Timmy Mallett clothing sense. But what do the stats say?
  • 56th v 17th and a real shock for me to see Azarenka 17th. She used to be firmly ensconsed in the World's Top 10
  • Head to heads are rather damning, 5 consecutive 2-0 set wins for Azarenka, the last in the French Open in May 2013, 4 of those were on hard, and all pretty emphatic, bar a 7-5.
6-1 6-1
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
31st August 2014
4pm - Errani v Lucic-baroni - 1.45 Errani
  • 14th v 121st in the rankings
  • 2 2-0 head to head wins for Errani in 2010 and 2011
Errani
  • 1st round, 2nd round, 1st round for Errani on hard courts prior to US Open. Now she is performing very well this US Open with 2-0, 2-0, and 2-1 wins, latterly against Venus Williams, the brother of Serena Williams.
  • In the 3 US Open matches, at least one service game was either 7-5 or 7-6 so that might allow us an angle in , if she can be pushed, especially in the first set.
Lucic-baroni
  • 2nd round, 1st round, 3rd round, now 4th round US Open after beating Simona halep.
  • 3 of her sets have gone to 7-6 tie rbeakers
Conclusion
  • there could be a tiebreaker or 2 today which could allow us to lay Errani at 1.45 pre match hoping the first set will be a tie breaker.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Simon v Ferrer - 1.25 Ferrer
  • 31st v 5th
  • 5 wins in 6 for Ferrer in head to heads.
  • On hard courts, it's 1-1 with Ferrer winning the most recent match  5 Ferrer wins to nil might open up a 3-0 sets betting result?
Simon
  • 3rd, 1st, 2nd, 2nd round on all surfaces so not in sparkling form
  • 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd round form recently in hard court tournaments. Simon does not tend to go deep
David Ferrer
  • Final, Quarter Final, Final recent form on all surfaces. Ferrer is purring?
  • A walkover v Tomic last US Open round will leave the Terrier fresh for this match
  • 4th round, Quarter Final, Final in his last 3 Hard court tournaments.
  • Have lost a set in 7 of his last 9 hard court matches. Will he slip up today? Lay 3-0 sets AFTER Ferrer wins the first set?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Granollers v Federer - 1.03 Fed

  • 2 2-0 head to head Federer wins sees Fed step on the pedal at 3-3 usually
Granollers
  • 3rd round in his last hard surface match
  • 3-0 and 3-2 in the US Open 3-2 v Ivo karlovic.
Federer
  • Final, Final, Final, Final for the Fed in his last 4 tournaments. What else can you say?
  • 3-0 wins so far in the US Open and note 4 6-4 set wins, 1 6-3 and one 7-6. It is something Federer does a lot, foot on the gas at 3 games all, breaks serve then pushes on.
  • Quarter Final, Final Final in his last 3 Hard court tournaments.

sunday 31st h august 2014 Summary

Sunday 31st August 2014 Summary

1230pm - Dundee v Celtic - 1.5 away

  • Dundee scored first and Celtic equalised for a nice DRT

1pm - Bordeaux v Bastia - 1.62 home

  • "Advantage Bordeaux based on last year's form. They may continue scoring and conceding though so a hope Bastia score first." I was in 2 minds so did not play this match when Bastia scored first. Those who did would have profited once Bordeaux had equalised.

130pm - Groningen v Ajax - 1.86 away
  • "Ajax are not too hot away from home, at least that's what the back end of last season tells us. The 1.86 odds tell us they are rather tentative favourites. Groningen will seek to curry favour with home support by delivering another home win.
  • A tough match to call.Ajax though have the head to heads on their side." A match I left alone at 2-0 Groningen because I watched the match and Ajax were terrible. I told that to live chatters.

130pm - Aston Villa v Hull  - 2.28 home
  • "3-1 in head to heads in May 2014 perhaps a reaction to Aston Villa's need for points. This season suggests that defences are on top? Back 0-0 pre match? Only 2 matches into the season though makes it hard to reach concrete conclusions." Learning to lay Premeriship teams 2-0 up  saw Hull equalise but not get a 2nd. 2-1 it ended.

130pm - Tottenham v Liverpool - 2.74 home
  • "the head to heads tell a story of Liverpool utter dominance ( the Suarez factor?)
  • the betting market tells a different story, a story of Spurs being on a par with Liverpool here.
  • Current form is inconclusive, Tottenham have played 2 lower 1/2 teams and won to nil, Liverpool beat Southampton as expected and lost to City which was not a shock. I would personally favour Liverpool here based on their personnel. Striking transfer buys. This is my personal opinion and not the stats talking though." Another match I left alone. We don't have to trade all high profile matches, we can choose our battles. 0-3 to Liverpool.

130pm - Club Brugge v Anderlecht - 2.4 home
  • "Anderlecht are favourite in head to heads but not with the market. Club Brugge like playing at home but the last team to beat them were Anderlecht, albeit 0-1. A tight match in prospect and one I admit I have no angle into. The value lies with favouring Anderlecht but they were so poor away last season." In the live chats I put forward a lay of Anderlecht at 0-2 up given they were so poor away from home last year. It proved a very profitable lay as Club Brugge drew 2-2.

345pm - Twente v Feyenoord - 2.08 home
  • "an interesting match between a home side solid at home, but on a 5 match draw sequence
  • that draw sequence will end soon - how about today? Too tough to call with 2 solid sides." "too tough to call" and another match I sat out. 0-0 it ended.

4pm - Leicester v Arsenal - 1.84 away
  • "Limited matches to work with but a feeling that Arsenal could score 2 goals today, and possibly concede in the process. Both sides have shown an ability to concede when ahead ( Leicester) and not lose when behind ( Arsenal)" Arsenal led, Leicester equalised . I layed the draw late on under 1.1 but it remained 1-1.

6pm - Porto v Moreirense - 1.19 home
  • "this looks very clear cut and Porto should continue their amazing run at home in the league. A good DRT match therefore as if Moreirense score first, they should not win." 0-0 at halftime and Porto's odds increased as the time passed. They eventually scored and won with ease.

6pm - Villarreal v Barcelona - 1.67 away
  • "Do note "new manager syndrome " for Barcelona could suggest Barcelona perform better than they did away at the end of last season" - Barcelona were utterly dominant and you could have got 3.5 and more for them if delaying. 0-1 it ended.

6pm - OB v Copenhagen  - 2.08 away
  • "this isn't the Copenhagen we know I'm afraid which makes it hard for me to trust them if they concede the first goal. There are better matches today/" As seems to be the theme, this was another match I left alone. 0-1 it ended to Copenhagen

730pm - Panathinaikos v Panionios - 1.27 home

  • this is the match which makes you money. Assume the 1.27 odds are correct. In the 85th minute, Panionios score. Panathanaikos's odds increased to 500+ . 91st and 94th minute Panathanaikos winners saw a potential huge payout for anyone keeping the faith. It is these matches which are key to huge profits.

8pm - Sociedad v Real Madrid - 1.48 away

  • "Real Madrid rarely lose against Sociedad but it must be said that last season they were vulnerable away from home.  Still expectation is that Real will continue to dominate. A hope that if Sociedad score first, Real Madrid will reply with an equaliser." 0-2 to Real Madrid ended 4-2 to Sociedad. Ronaldo rested. Some of the live chatters layed REal Madrid at 1.04 and got a bumper payout.

8pm - Paris st Germain ( PSG)v St Etienne - 1.55 home
  • "both sides had a 0-0 in their last match so lay any late 0-0 this time I think. Head to heads show an ability for PSG to score at least 2 goals.
  • Judging by past history, lay any side 2-0 up in this match." 5-0 to PSG. Ibrahimovic a key player as usual.

saturday 30th august Summary of yesterday's matches.

1245pm - Burnley v Man Utd  - 1.59 away
  • "Let's just hope that Burnley score first today . Chelsea scored after conceding the first goal. Manchester United came back from behind in their defeat to Swansea  so there is aa precedent. Di Maria to play today? Hmmm." Oh dear 0-0 United -I should have more confidently put forward the lay of United
230pm - Hamburg v paderborn - 1.78 home
  • "I personally would not trust hamburg at odds on here given how poor they were last season. They are a tad high at odds on. Perhaps lay Hamburg if they lead in the match, at shorter odds."  Hamburg were poor as I thought they would be. 0-3 to paderborn

230pm - Leverkusen v Hertha Berlin - 1.45 home

  • "top teams may be too much for Hertha Berlin and that is my angle into today's match. THe home side are definitely favoured here. Only one match into the new season means I cannot put up any halftime score ideas." Hertha Berlin scored first, Leverkusen equalised, Hertha Berlin led, Leverkusen equalised and it ended 4-2 to the home side. A nice DRT match for those who stuck with Leverkusen

230pm - Werder Bremen v Hoffenheim - 2.2 away

  • "both teams have scored 2 goals in their opening matches.
  • Based on history, both teams will score, we'll probably see over 3.5 goals and there is likely to be a goal or 2 before halftime ( lay 0-0 halftime score as late as you can)." 1-1 it ended , and another goal before halftime for Hoffenheim

230pm - Wolfsburg v Eintracht Frankfurt - 1.67 home

  • "we are dependent really on last season and head to heads. These point to Wolfsburg being strong at home and Frankfurt poor away from home. A reasonable DRT match here should the away side score first ( and they might given the amount of times both teams have scored in Wolfsburg home matches)." Both teams scored again - such a strong trend here. 2-2 it ended and Wolfsburg led twice.

3pm - Man City v Stoke   -1.19 home
  • "1-0, 2-0 correct score for Manchester City today? they have scored a single goal in both matches this season before halftime but may find Stoke harder to score against? hull's goal against Stoke came in the 42nd minute for instance.
  • This should be a Manchester City win today so makes for a good potential DRT match. We have a solid Man City side in attack who can rescue them if they find themselves conceding first." 1-0 it ended but to Stoke. I layed Stoke at really short odds but they held on.

3pm - Newcastle v C Palace  - 1.77 home
  • "this is tough for me to call because of the mess in Crystal Palace's management. If Pulis was in charge I would leap on backing 0-0 in the halftime score market.
  • This "new ( or absent) manager syndrome for Palace makes last year's form irrelevant really as compared to this year.
  • Newcastle are yet to score this season and play a Crystal Palace side whose first conceded goal in both of their matches came around the 34 minute mark. Expect therefore a concerted 0-0 which brings into play a 0-0 correct score back .
  • Do note that Palace have conceded 2 and 3 this season already so this may be the time that Newcastle break their duck." A ding dong battle ended 3-3. If you took the position that palace are vulnerable presently, then there was ample opportunity to lay Palace for a profit.

3pm - QPR v Sunderland  - 2.5 home
  • "no patterns as yet and tough to call. QPR are yet to score, Sunderland are yet to win and yet to lose.
  • Surely not a 3rd consecutive draw for Sunderland? Can we lay a score draw here if it occurs?" - 1-0 to QPR and Sunderland's draw sequence ended

3pm - Swansea v West Brom  - 1.88 home
  • "can we back 0-0 pre match and hope this match is 0-0 for a while.1-0 v Burnley for Swansea and 0-0 for West Brom most recently.
  • As ever, the more matches I have the more accurate I become and really basing conclusions on 2 matches is not the ideal." A 2nd minute goal killed the 0-0 pre match back

3pm - Hacken v Mjallby  - 1.39 home
  • no research but Mjallby scored first, and Hacken soon equalised for a nice DRT.

3pm - Hearts v Falkirk  - 1.64 home
  • "Falkirk lost 0-2 to Rangers and I think Hearts, who beat Rangers, can certainly replicate that.
  • I will look at Hearts not losing this match. Falkirk have scored in 2 matches so if they score first today, lay them." A 4-1 win and really enjoying this lesser league are Hearts

3pm - Rangers v Queen of South  - 1.44 home
  • No research done,  but 1-2 to Queen of the South at halftime and Rangers ended up winning 4-2.

330pm - Red Bull Salzburg v Sturm Graz - 1.15 home
  • "the head to heads alone suggest Sturm Graz could score. The current form suggests they could score too, but in Red Bull they meet THE dominant team in Austria.
  • You know what 1.15 means? 4+ goals expected, possible win to nil, and a chance the home team could score a goal before halftime." 2-3 it ended but Red Bull did not win. Sturm Graz were 0-2 up so they were nice and short to lay .

430pm - Dinamo Bucharest v FC Brasov  - 1.5 home
  • I suggested laying Dinamo Bucharest 2-0 up at odds of 1.02 as Brasov were strong inplay, 2-1 it ended and the 1.02 lay rose to 1.06 to back. So near to a nice 50/1 pay off!

5pm - Chievo v Juventus  - 1.59 away
  • "6 wins in 7 aways in Seria A for Juventus should see an eventual win
  • Chievo look like they are tough to break down but eventually concede. Their recent defeats at home were to nil, although Juventus won 1-2 the last time they visited.
  • We should see a period of 0-0 here if Chievo's defence is strong. Back 0-0 pre match perhaps, although with Juventus we have players who can score at any stage!
  • First match of the season so react to in-play stats." 0-1 to Juventus and they hit the cross bar countless times.

530pm - Everton v Chelsea  - 2.1 away
  • "Will this be as tight as previous head to heads? 2 consecutive 1-0 wins ( one each) in the last 2 meetings. If you think that will be replicated then back 0-0 pre match and hope these 2 cancel each other out. Everton have goals in them for sure . Will they score if Chelsea lead?
  • Do note the large amount of goals before halftime, albeit only a small sample of matches. If this is 0-0 coming up to 35 minutes, lay the 0-0 halftime score in the hope these 2 conjure up a goal." I backed Everton at 30 when 0-2 down. They scored next but could not get an equaliser to really bring home the profit.3-6 to Chelsea
530pm - Schalke v Bayern Munich - 1.52 away
  • "An interesting match and Bayern's tentative odds are down to Schalke's home reputation in the near past. I would tend to side with Bayern Munich and the market is telling us they will have a battle to win, perhaps a 1-2 scoreline?
  • Delay if Schalke score first as they may keep the lead for a while before being pegged back." 1-1 it ended. Poor stuff from Bayern who did score first.

6pm - Ath Bilbao v Levante  - 1.36 home
  • "Bilbao should be strong at home this season. I think they have a new stadium and should be far stronger. Levante had trouble winning of late and Bilbao had trouble NOT losing at home so I must favour Ath Bilbao." A 3-0 home win

6pm - Wolfsberger AC v FC Wiener Neustadt - 1.35 home
  • "9 out of 10 matches over 2.5 goals for these 2 this season.
  • It looks like advantage home side today for sure . Wiener have goals in them and I think both teams could score today , so a hope Wiener score and even go 0-2 up ( they scored 5 in their last match  - conceding 4 too!)" A good use of research here. IF we think there should have been goals,  and it's 0-0 in the 80th minute, what do you do? Lay the 0-0 at odds on. 0-1 it ended

730pm - Panaitolikos v Olympiakos( OLY) - 1.33 away
  • "only the past season to go by and it signals the potential for a 0-0 for a while between these 2 teams.
  • Olympaikos did have a worrying cluster of defeats which is most unlike them. Expect perhaps a toughly fought tight away win today. You might even want to lay 1.33 Oly initially if you think Panaitolikos can remain as tough to beat as they have been" A thought that Olympiakos are more vulnerable away from home. 1-1 it ended. Oly did score first.

745pm - Heerenveen v Utrecht  - 1.72 home

  • "both teams to score perhaps?
Head to heads are tough to gauge as it used to be Utrecht dominant until all of a sudden Heerenveen score 4 at home!
  • 4 0-0's in these 2 teams' 6 matches in total this season. Don't be surprised if it's 0-0." Both teams did score. 3-1 it ended

8pm - Atl Madrid v Eibar  - 1.27 home
Standout stats
  • no head to heads tell us Eibar are newly promoted
Atl Madrid
  • "Eibar are of course an unknown here and we have seen in leagues around Europe how the newly promoted sides have shocked or been tough to beat at best.
  • Expect Madrid to win today. A hope Eibar make it tough to enable us to get better odds in play." 2-1 to Madrid.

29th august 2014 summary of yesterday's matches

3pm - Shakhtar v Illychivets   -1.09 home

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • "2/3 goals expected of Shakhtar ( although 1.09 suggests 4+ goals) makes this a good DRT match as the home team are set to dominate. If Illychivets score first, back Shakhtar to win." 3-0 to Shakhtar and again a favourite too efficient to allow a DRT trade. In cases like this, with short priced favourites, you can lay the 0-0 halftime score in expectation of a goal before halftime. It happens so often with teams priced at 1.3 or lower.

430pm - KaPa v FC Espoo  - 1.53 home

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • "both teams could score today and Espoo not win" Fancy a 1-1? That's how it ended. Great research. The favourite did score first. There was no DRT trade , but as above, you can back the " both teams to score" market if you want..

6pm - Helsingborgs v Halmstads   -1.71 home

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • "both teams look like they could score today, that's if Halmstads don't revert to their performances against top 7 sides away
  • Lay 0-0 halftime score as late as you can in the first half." 1-2 at halftime and both teams scored today again. I took a "neutral" position here i.e. goals rather than saying " x or y team would win". It worked well. As above, you can use 0-0 halftime score lay or Both teams to score bet rather than trading if you want a play here.

6pm - Orebro v Brommapojkarna  - 1.43 home
  • "both teams could score today
  • there should be a goal before halftime so lay the 0-0 halftime score as late as possible in the first half.
  • 1/2 of Bromma's away matches are over 3.5 goals. If the match is 0-0 for a while consider over 3.5 goals at better odds than would appear pre-match." Superb research. 3-1 it ended, there was a goal before halftime and over 3.5 goals came in. Nice work!! Please give me some feedback if you are profiting from these in-play opportunities.
5pm - Go Ahead Eagles v Willem II  - 2.3 home
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • "both teams to score perhaps? And over 2.5 goals at least today for this match? That's what the small sample of matches suggest. Lay any side 2-0 up. Go ahead particularly have a history of fluffing their lines 2-0 up!" Yes, it was a small sample. A red card in the 2nd half may have thrown the over 2.5 goals out of the window. Go ahead scored, then got a red card themselves. 1-0 it ended. I suppose there was a 0-0 lay available. I was certainly monitoring that.

730pm - Augsburg v Dortmund  - 1.75 away
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • "Dortmund have a history of scoring at least 2 goals against Augsburg so that could continue today. " 0-2 at halftime.
  • "Augsburg scored in 3 of the last 4 head to heads and that might continue."  0-3 was the scoreline and if you thought Augsburg would score, then lay the 0-3 . They scored 2 ( very lucky I must say if you layed the 0-3)>
  •  I would have to favour Dortmund here as they need that first win, and sharpish!
730pm -Marseille v Nice  - 1.51 home
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • "the odds seem far too short for Marseille here, although there must be a story behind such positive odds. There are no massive signings so that doesn't explain it. The 3 matches this season are rather non-descript. So it suggests a lay of 1.51 shots here in what is a local derby. That seems the value play, although please remember we have little to work with this season so far." No luck here with the 1.51 lay and it is interesting isn't it, when the market throws us a puzzler. Why so short? Because someone knew Marseille would win easier than their previous form would suggest. 4-0 win.
9pm - Valencia v Malaga  - 1.53 home
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • "head to heads favour the home team, Malaga's dire away form favours the home team," 3-0 to Valencia in an easy enough home win.

28th august 2014 summary of yesterday's matches

28th August

4pm - FC Jurmala v Ventspils  - 1.08 away
  • "Ideally, Ventspils will score 4+ goals today. Note Skonto Riga yesterday, their goals started coming in the 40th minute so lay the 0-0 halftime score if this match is 0-0 for a while today. 1.08 shots are expected to score at least one goal before halftime". Great profit to be had if you followed this advice. The goal came in the 47th minute of the first half, so laying 0-0 halftime score as late as possible really paid off.

4pm - Lokomotiv v Apollon Limassol  - 1.41 home

  • 1-4 to Apollon here and another surprise in the Europa League which is why I prefer league football.

515pm - PAOK v Zimbru Chisinau  - 1.31 home

  • the market was spot on here with PAOK winning with ease. No DRT as Zimbru did not score first , or at all!

7pm - Feyenoord v Zorya   -1.43 home
Standout stats
  • "Feyenoord have a terrible record in this Europa League and you get the impression that this competition is not top of their list of priorities. They do have Champions league experience so perhaps look down on the Europa League.
  • Only 1 win in 11 EL matches for Feyenoord  suggests the value is in opposing them today. Live chatters this weekend remember how poor Feyenoord were at home to Utrecht . Will this be a hangover today?
  • The value is in laying feyenoord today although that places your faith in a team called Zorya , another also ran from Ukraine who we know little about." The general gist was to oppose Feyenoord here. Well they took a 3-0 lead and Zorya made it 3-3 before a 92nd minute Feyenoord winner. So I was right with the general gist that they were not strong favourites. Skin of their teeth or what?

730pm  - FC Zurich v Spartak Trnava  - 1.47 home
Standout stats
  • "The odds are a little tentative for such an apparently comprehensive away win.
  • Another toughie from the EL The Slovakian away side are relatively unknown." The odds were tentative. 1-1 it ended with Zurich living off their efforts in the first leg.

730pm - St Etienne v Karabukspor  - 1.41 home
Standout stats
  • " Logic points to the home side, but logic and the EL are poor bedfellows." St Etienne won 2-0.

730pm - Torino v RNK Split  - 1.33 home
Standout stats
  • "Torino will aim, I think, for a 2-0, which covers the concession of an away goal.
  • A 1-0 sees Torino through. A 0-1 sees Split through. The market expects Torino to win, so 2-0 correct score perhaps might offer a pre-match trading position." You would have got some swing in the 2-0 correct score odds as Torino's single goal came in the 1st 1/2 of the first half.

745pm - Hull v Lokeren  - 1.52 home
Standout stats
  • "So, if you have faith in Hull, back 2-0 and 3-1 correct scores and hope the Premiership side do not have one eye on their 31st August Premiership match." A red card messed things up. We were heading for that 3-1 Hull correct score  until that 70th minute red card. 2-1 it ended and Lokeren go through on away goals.

745pm - Inter v Stjarnan  - 1.12 home
Standout stats
  • 6-0 and easy as you like for Inter Milan. Yet another win to nil.

745pm - Mgladbach v Sarajevo  - 1.23 home
  • "the market suggests that Mgladbach from the Bundesliga will win with ease and go through. Sarajevo, if they score first, will be vulnerable so lay them" No DRT here as Mgladbach won 7-0

745pm - Tottenham v A.E.L.  - 1.19 home
  • No mistakes this time 3-0 to Spurs.

745pm - Villarreal v FC Astana  - 1.18 home
Standout stats
  • "A 0-3 away win for Villareal against Kazak side Astana was expected, given Villareal are a La liga side.
  • The market expects Villareal to replicate that away scoreline. as you can tell by the odds of 1.18 ( 3/4 goals minimum)." Villareal did replicate their away win, 4-0 in fact this time.
8pm - Club Brugge v Grasshoppers Zurich  - 1.55 home
Standout stats
  • "This looks like chalk and cheese. Grasshopper's have real trouble scoring in the EL, scoring 0-0-0-0-0-1-1-1-1. They are scoring at least 1 goal I suppose now.
  • Club Brugge have scored 3-3-2-2 in recent matches.
  • Club Brugge need a 0-0 to go through and will tolerate a 0-1 loss. Grasshoppers need a 0-2 to go through because of the away goal." 1-0 an  ideal win  for Club Brugge

8pm - Legia Warsaw v FK Aktobe  - 1.41 home
Standout stats
  • "The market expects the home team to consolidate and win.
  • Legia have failed to score in their last 3 home EL matches. Will this end today? They are priced to end this.
  • Akrobe have only won 1 away match in 8 EL matches so are not expected to land a blow. " 2-0 it ended for Legia Warsaw.

28th thursday, 29th Friday, 30th Saturday, 31st Sunday

Friday 29th August 2014

6pm - Orebro v Brommapojkarna  - 1.43 home
Standout stats
  • only 1 recent head to head of relevance is a 2-2 which saw Bromma equalise with a late penalty.
  • this is 9th v 16th ( of 16) in the Swedish top league.
Orebro
  • an 11 match run without a win has ended now with 3 wins and a 3-2 loss in their last 4 matches.
  • have scored and conceded in 8 of their last 9 matches
  • have scored in their last 4 matches and conceded in their last 6 matches
  • have only kept 3 clean sheets this season, pretty rubbish for a 1.43 shot.
  • have scored and conceded in 5 of their last 6 home matches
  • unbeaten against 11th and below at home, albeit draws with 12th, 13th and 14th and 1-0 v 15th.
Bromma
  • only 1 win all season is the reason why a team with not much solid form is 1.43 favourite!
  • no win in 14 matches
  • have conceded in their last 10 away matches and last 14 matches overall.
  • concede generally between 2 and 4 goals in away matches
  • only 1 clean sheet all season
  • failed to score in only 2 of their last 10 matches, those were the last 2 matches
  • have conceded 16 away goals in the first half.
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • both teams could score today
  • there should be a goal before halftime so lay the 0-0 halftime score as late as possible in the first half.
  • 1/2 of Bromma's away matches are over 3.5 goals. If the match is 0-0 for a while consider over 3.5 goals at better odds than would appear pre-match.
5pm - Go Ahead Eagles v Willem II  - 2.3 home
Standout stats
  • these 2 last met in 2012 in the Eerste Division
  • 2 3-2 losses for Go ahead eagles this season ended with a 0-0 v Dordrecht last match.
  • Go ahead were 2-0 up in their first match - carelessly losing 2-3.
  • Willem II have had a tough few matches, losing to PSV and Utrecht before a win against AZ Alkmaar.
  • 5-5-0-4-3-3 - that's the total goals in the 6 matches these 2 have played between them this season.
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • both teams to score perhaps? And over 2.5 goals at least today for this match? That's what the small sample of matches suggest. Lay any side 2-0 up. Go ahead particularly have a history of fluffing their lines 2-0 up!

730pm - Augsburg v Dortmund  - 1.75 away
Standout stats
  • 3 consecutive wins in head to heads for Dortmund , scoring 3-4-4 ended with a 2-2 home draw against Augsburg last head to head.
  • 2-0 losses for both sides in their opening matches this season . Dortmund were playing Leverkusen and the stats from last year pointed to struggles for them at home to top 4 from last year, so I expect a stronger performance from Dortmund today.
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • Dortmund have a history of scoring at least 2 goals against Augsburg so that could continue today.
  • Augsburg scored in 3 of the last 4 head to heads and that might continue.
  •  I would have to favour Dortmund here as they need that first win, and sharpish!
730pm -Marseille v Nice  - 1.51 home
Standout stats
  • do remember this is a local derby.
  • The last 3 head to heads were 1-0, 1-0, 1-0 , a Nice and 2 Marseille wins
  • Win, Draw, Loss for both of these sides this season
  • Marseille drew 3-3 away to Bastia, lost 0-2 at home to Montpellier, and beat Guingcamp 0-1 away.
  • Nice beat Toulouse 3-2, drew 0-0 away to Lorient, and lost 1-3 at home to Bordeaux.
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • the odds seem far too short for Marseille here, although there must be a story behind such positive odds. There are no massive signings so that doesn't explain it. The 3 matches this season are rather non-descript. So it suggests a lay of 1.51 shots here in what is a local derby. That seems the value play, although please remember we have little to work with this season so far.
9pm - Valencia v Malaga  - 1.53 home
Standout stats
  • This is a match which favours the home side. Valencia tend to win at home and Malaga tend to win at Malaga, when these 2 meet.
  • 1-0 and 0-0 the last 2 head to heads - a sign of defences on top?
  • An opening 1-1 with Sevilla saw Valencia equalise in the 88th minute.
  • Malaga win 1-0 at home to Ath Bilbao ( who may have been distracted by the Champions League match they were due to play v napoli).
  • This is 8th v 11th from last season and Valencia have been superceded as the perennial " 4th best team in Spain". Only 4 points separated these 2 last season.
  • Valencia scored in all bar 1 home match last season and were reasonable against teams below them at home, winning 8, drawing 2 and losing 2.
  • Only 1 away win last season for malaga against 15th and above might account for Valencia's short price now.
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • head to heads favour the home team, Malaga's dire away form favours the home team,

27th August 2014 SUMMARY

Summary of yesterday's matches.

4pm - FS METTA LU v Skonto Riga  - 1.14 away
  • "this match will not end 0-0 judging by the stats." 0-3 to Skonto -no DRT because they were too damn efficient.

530pm - Ferencvaros v Dunaujvaros 1.08 home
  • "the home side are set to dominate. " "A 3-0 home win to start perhaps" as Ferencvaros have scored 3 in 2 matches and Dunaujvaros have conceded 3 in 2 matches. The match ended 2-0. It was 2-0 at halftime so any 3-0 correct score trade would have worked.

6pm - Saarbrucken v Zweibrucken  - 1.4 home
  • Well it was 0-1 to Zweibrucken  and a possible DRT if you had faith in the odds saying Saarbrucken  were favourites. They won 3-1.

745pm - Arsenal v Besiktas  - 1.4 home
  • "I think Arsenal will be aiming at 2-0 here today." 1-0 in ended and a red card to Arsenal scuppered my choice. They did what was expected.

745pm - Aston Villa v Leyton Orient  - 1.61 home
  • 0-0 until the 87th minute. So a possibility to lay that 0-0. Leyton Orient got the goal which tells me Villa played a weakened side. The joys of the League Cup I suppose.

745pm - Ath Bilbao v Napoli  - 2.24 home
  • "an unknown quantity are Ath Bilbao in this competition. "That was my concern here today. It was 0-0 at halftime and that was layable. napoli opened the scoring and you thought "business as usual" but that "unknown quantity" Ath Bilbao went on to score 3 and dump Napoli out early. The Fat Spanish Waiter will not be happy.

745pm - Burton v QPR  - 1.97 away
  • "Both teams to score today? Burton like the League Cup ".I thought Burton might score, and indeed they held up their side of the bargain, but QPR did not! 1-0 to Burton.
  • "the value is in laying QPR if they score first, you'll get lower odds and Burton may have a chance of equalising." I was happy with that forecast and I hope some layed QPR pre match as they did not score alas!

745pm - Leverkusen v FC Copenhagen  - 1.29 home
  • "I think it's advantage Leverkusen here for sure. Copenhagen are not on the same level as Man Utd and Paris St German "4-0 it finished and a sign that leverkusen in this competition only lose to the cream of the crop as I indicated yesterday.

745pm - Malmo FF v Red Bull Salzburg  - 1.69 away
  • "1.69 for a team with such a dire away from home record in the CL? No thanks. "But it does seem Malmo were lucky in nailing that 90th minute away goal. Will that galvanise them? Malmo have lost recent matches. "Value is in laying Red Bull , but it is a toughie for me given Red Bull's poor away record." Very happy with that research. Sometimes, with QPR, we have to go against the bookies. The odds were simply too short here. I hope you layed Red Bull at 1.69. They lost 3-0.

745pm - Stoke v Portsmouth  - 1.46 home
  • "If Stoke want to win this , they will. Portsmouth have had trouble scoring in the competition of late. It would be a shock were Stoke to lose, making this a good DRT match." 3-0 it ended. These favourites are too fecking efficient!.

FRIDAY 22nd AUGUST

1230pm - Tampines Rovers v Tanjong Pagar Utd  - 1.43 home
Standout stats
  • both teams have scored and conceded in the last 6 head to heads
  • Tampines have scored 4 goals in the last 2 matches
  • this is 2nd v 10th
Tampines Rovers
  • A win takes Tampines top
  • only 3 losses this season
  • have scored in their last 10 home matches and conceded in their last 7 home matches
  • have failed to score in only 1 match.
  • have scored 3 goals in the 3 matches at home to bottom 4 sides.
Tanjong Pagar
  • only 3 wins this season
  • no draw in 6 matches
  • have scored in their last 5 matches and conceded in their last 3 matches
  • have conceded 4 goals away to 1st, 3rd and 4th
  • only 2 clean sheets this season
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • the number 3/4 seems to pervade here. Expectation for Tampines Rovers to score 3/4 goals? Back Tampines if Tanjong score first.
  • Consider perhaps a goal before halftime ( if you think Tampines can score 3/4 goals again, logic suspects a goal before halftime?) Lay 0-0 halftime score as late as possible
3pm - FK Jelgava v FS METTA LU  - 1.15 home
Standout stats
  • the head to heads do not go with the odds today. the last 4 matches have been draws. 3 consecutive 1-1 draws.
  • This is 3rd v 9th of 10 in the Latvian league
Jelgava
  • only 4 defeats all season
  • 4 consecutive wins
  • 4 consecutive clean sheets
  • have failed to score in only 4 matches this season
  • 5 clean sheets in their last 7 home matches
Metta
  • only 2 wins this season
  • no win in 12 matches overall
  • no draw in 7 away matches
  • have conceded in their last 12 matches
  • have conceded 2 goals in each of their last 4 matches, all defeats
  • only 2 clean sheets this season
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • the head to heads tell us this could be tight. The odds tell us Jelgava should continue to score 2/3 goals against Metta .
  • Which way will you fall? The value is in following the head to heads, and laying Jelgava, but recent form sees Metta unable to land a blow and likely to concede 2+ goals.
5pm - FC Infonet v Tammeka Tartu  - 1.08 home
Standout stats
  • Tallina have scored 3-3-1-3-4 in their last 5 head to heads
  • This is 5th v 8th in the Estonian league
FC Infonet
  • only 5 defeats this season
  • no defeat in 5 home matches
  • have failed to score in only 6 ,matches, but have failed to score in their last 2 matches
  • 67% over 2.5 goals at home
Tammeka Tartu
  • only 4 wins at home
  • only 2 clean sheets this season
  • have lost away to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th without scoring but only lost 1-0 in 3 of those matches
  • 3 1-0 losses in their last 4 away matches
  • have failed to score in 7 of their last 11 matches
  • have conceded in their last 7 away matches
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • you know what 1.08 suggests don't you! Goals. 3/4 goals minimum, up to 10 maximum I would suggest today. We might see a win to nil as Tammeka have trouble scoring recently.
  • Infonet have not scored in their last 2 matches but a bottom 3 side should see an end.
  • This is a good DRT match as the home side should dominate.
5pm - Nomme Kalju v Lokomotiv Johvi  - 1.15 home
Standout stats
  • 0-2 and 1-3 in head to heads to Nomme Kalju
  • This is 3rd v 10th of 10 in estonia
Nomme Kalju
  • only 3 defeats at home  were all 1-0's
  • have only conceded in 9 matches
  • no draw in 9 home matches
  • average 2 goals scored per game
  • 73% clean sheets at home
Lokomotiv Johvi
  • only 1 win all season
  • only 2 clean sheets this season
  • have conceded 3-6-6-2-3-3-10-2 in recent away matches
  • no win in 11 away matches.
  • have conceded in their last 11 away matches and scored in their last 6 away matches
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • 3/4 goals expected from the home side. Be careful with a win to nil as Johvi have scored in their last 6 away matches
5pm - Terek Grozni v Arsenal Tula  - 1.47 home
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

530pm - Austria Lustenau v SV Horn  - 1.73 home
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

530pm - Mattersburg v FAC Team fur Wien  - 1.52 home
Standout stats
  • no head to heads
  • this is an Austrian liga 1 match , 6 matches in.
mattersburg
  • 3 home wins without conceding this season. Only 1 defeat overall.
  • actually kept a clean sheet in all bar 1 match
FAC
  • 2 consecutive defeats now in a season of 3 draws , 1 win , 2 defeats.
  • Only 1 clean sheet all season

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • I assume that the away team are newly promoted as there are no head to heads and the away team are struggling.
  • FAC look likely to concede at some stage. Mattersburg should win this encounter. Lay FAC if they are leading at any stage in this match.

530pm - RB Leipzig v Erzgebirge  - 1.5 home
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

6pm - CSKA Sofia v Marek Dupnitsa  - 1.19 home
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

6pm - Mjallby v Helsingborgs  - 2.26 away
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

7pm - Angers v Chateauroux  - 1.6 home
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

7pm - Den Bosch v Waalwijk  - 1.91 home
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

7pm - ESTAC Troyes v Laval  - 1.54 home
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

7pm - NEC Nijmegen v Fortuna Sittard  - 1.49 home
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

7pm - Roda JC v FC Eindhoven  - 1.73 home
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

730pm - B Munich v Wolfsburg  - 1.27 home
Standout stats
  • Bayern are likely to win and have scored 6 goals in 2 of their last 3 head to heads. That's the ideal.
  • Little else to say. I like these matches for DRT because we have a world class side, at home, and expected to win easily. History tells us it is rarely that straightforward and that's where DRT come in.

730pm - Evian TG v Paris St-G  - 1.4 away
Standout stats
  • I remember last year's match at Evian, which they won 2-0. That was a very rare loss for PSG. Head to heads point to tight matches. The odds suggest an easier assignment for the away side.
  • 2 1-0 PSG wins in their last 3.
  • 2 consecutive losses for Evian 0-3 and 6-2; something is wrong with Evian this year.
  • PSG have scored 2 goals in a 2-2 ( came back from 2-1) and a 2-0 win this year.

Profitable in-play opportunities

  • something is up with Evian this season already, conceding 9 goals in 2 matches, and a leaky defence is not what you need facing PSG. In head to heads, matches have been tight but there's a chance PSG could let loose. Hard to weigh up. I cannot see Evian winning as they did this time last year.

745pm - Derry v Malahide Utd  - 1.17 home
Standout stats
  • this is the Irish FIA cup and Derry are from the Premier Division
  • When Malahide have met Premier Division clubs in the cup, they have lost 5-0 and 4-0 and that fits into the odds. 3/4 goals expected and a possible win to nil for Derry.

745pm - Dundalk v Galway FC  - 1.27 home
Standout stats
  • Premiership v 1st Division in the Irish FIA Cup.
  • No draw for Dundalk in the FAI cup since 2012
  • Only 1 match in the FAI cup recently for Galway was a 1-3 win away to UCD
  • Little to go on. Faith in the odds perhaps?

745pm - St Patricks v Shelbourne  - 1.25 home
Standout stats
  • and so it goes on with another Irish FAI cup match between a Premier League side and a First Division side.

Profitable in-play opportunities

930pm - Atl Madrid v Real Madrid  - 2.2 away
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

21st august 2014

Thursday, 21 August 2014

saturday 23rd sunday 24th

Sunday, 24 August 2014

1030am - Dynamo Moscow   v   Ural - 1.3 home
  • Dinamo Moscow are expected to win. 3/4 goals I would have expected shorter than 1.3 odds . Dinamo Moscow have been conceding so if they concede first, I will back them at enhanced odds.
  • There may be a goal before halftime so lay the 0-0 halftime score as late as you can.

1pm - Lyon   v   Lens - 1.5 home
Standout stats
  • 4 consecutive wins for Lyon in head to heads. There has been a gap to this match of some 3 years
  • Lyon were 5th last year  and Lens are a newly promoted side.
  • Lyon have won 2-0 at home to Rennes, and lost 2-1 away to Toulouse.
  • Nantes beat Lens 1-0 and lost 0-1 to Guincamp

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • there is not much to go on. Lens seem capable in this new league but are being beaten by a single goal. The goals have come in the 65th and 90th minutes for Lens which might suggest that they can hold on for a while? The odds suggest otherwise.  If you want a value punt, back 0-0 pre-match and hope Lens continue to keep the match 0-0 at halftime.

130pm - Torpedo Moscow   v   FK Krasnodar  - 1.75 away
Standout stats
  • no head to heads. Torpedo are newly promoted
  • 2 defeats, a draw and a win so far for Torpedo.
  • FK drew their first 2 matches and won their last 2 4-0 and 0-2. FK have kept 3 clean sheets this season
  • Torpedo's win against Ural was care of a 73rd minute goal and an own goal, hardly convincing

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • I would have to favour FK Krasnador in this match. Newcomers Torpedo are yet to convince me and so I will oppose them if they score first.

130pm - Hull v Stoke  - 2.54 home
Standout stats
  • this is a very unappealing match. 2.54 odds suggests any favourite is an uneasy favourite and the match will be a tight one.
  • 0-0 and 1-0 to Stoke in head to heads in the Premiership era. Are we to expect another tight match today?
  • Hull beat QPR away from home 0-1 and Aston Villa beat Stoke at Stoke 1-0 so these are in keeping with the general under 1.5 goals vibe at the moment.

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • Judging a match by a single game played is folly. If we were to add in the head to heads then backing 0-0 pre-match looks the obvious call in what could be a very tight match.

130pm - Anderlecht   v   Waasland-Beveren - 1.2 home
Standout stats

  • about as appealing as a trip to the dentist.
  • Only 2 head to heads 2013 and 2014 , a 0-0 and a 1-0 Stoke win. Will these tight matches continue?
  • A 0-1 away win against QPR for Hull
  • A 0-1 away loss against Aston Villa for Stoke.
  • So we can see the head to head tightness spill over into this present season, albeit with a really small sample.
Profitable inplay opportunities
  • there are none really in another tough Premiership match. 2.54 for the favourite tells us as much. An extremely limited pattern of under 1.5 goals matches. Not so sure I can confidently say they will continue, given such a small sample!

130pm - Tottenham v QPR  - 1.48 home
 Standout stats

  • a london derby and the last time these 2 teams met was in January 2013, a 0-0.The general pattern of head to heads is to favour the home side. 3 Spurs wins in the last 3 home matches for them.
  • Spurs won away to West Ham 0-1  ( another London derby) in their opening match.
  • QPR lost 0-1 to Hull. Spurs were very lucky to win with a 90th minute winner.
  • Both of the goals were scored in the 2nd half in these 2 teams' opening matches.
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • head to heads point to the home team being favoured in this clash. Can we stick with that this time. This pattern runs for 5 matches, 2 at QPR and 3 at Tottenham.
  • Do remember that this is a London Derby. Maybe a cards/bookings bet would be of interest?
130pm - NAC Breda   v   Twente - 1.8 away
Standout stats
  • Twente are unbeaten in the last 6 head to heads, winning the last 2 league head to heads 5-2 and 0-2.
  • Neither of these 2 have won a dutch Eredivisie match this season. NAC have drawn with Excelsior and lost 6-1 away to PSV.
  • Twente have drawn 1-1 away to Cambuur ( a good DRT) and drew 2-2 at home to ADO Den haag ( another DRT as they were 1-2 down in that match)>

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • both teams have scored this season in their matches. Will that continue today? Already Twente are becoming adept at coming back from conceding the first goal, so have confidence that Twente can come back again and equaliseif NAC score first. In both of these side's matches, at least one goal has been scored before halftime. It is a very limited sample though of 2 matches each

130pm - Feyenoord   v   Utrecht - 1.44 home
Standout stats
  • 4 consecutive wins for Feyenoord in head to heads.
  • Feyenoord have won 0-1 and drawn 1-1 in their 2 matches this season. No goal yet before halftime
  • Utrecht have lost away to Zwolle 2-0 and beat Willem II 2-1. With Utrecht, no goals before halftime yet.
  • This is 2nd v 10th from last year.Feyenoord were only 4 points behind Ajax last season.

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • the last head to head was 2-5 to Feyenoord and the market suggests they can score 2/3 at least today in another head to head win. This season is only 2 matches old and both sides are yet to see a goal before halftime. With Zwolle scoring 2 against Utrecht, I think Feyenoord can follow suit. Lay Utrecht if Utrecht score first here.

230pm - Paderborn   v   Mainz 05 - 2.37 away
Standout stats
  • One of only 2 Bundesliga matches today and it would seem Paderborn are a newly promoted side.
  • Mainz finished 7th last year but are relatively unfancied today against newly promoted.
  • Mainz were rock solid at home last season, but away, they recorded only 5 wins, ( both sides scored in all wins) 4 of those wins were against bottom 7 sides ( we are assuming Paderborn will struggle?)
  • Both teams scored in 76% of Mainz's away matches last season
  • Paderborn were 2nd last year in Bundesliga 2 and lost only 3 home matches

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • toughie to call. I would have expected 7th in the Bundesliga last year ( remembering that Bayern/Dortmund and Leverkusen naturally fill 3 spots so that 7th is a good position) to have been stronger favourite.

345pm - Ajax   v   PSV Eindhoven - 1.83 home
Standout stats
  • 3 wins for Ajax at home in head to heads and at PSV 4-2, 2-3, 4-0
  • this could be a title contender this early on in the season
  • wins for both teams this season, both teams scoring
  • Both teams have scored 3+ in each match

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • I am not sure that there should be an odds on favourite here. Both sides are in supreme form, albeit only 2 matches gone this season
  • Head to heads favour the home side here and results at Ajax have been tighter than at PSV .Lay any team 2-0 up here .

4pm - St Etienne   v   Rennes - 1.8 home
Standout stats
  • live chatters attest to how solid St Etienne were last weekend. They went behind but were so dominant stats wise that they ended up winning with relative ease.
  • St Etienne have yet to concede in 4 home head to heads. A 0-0 last time though.
  • Rennes are a lot more competitive in head to heads when AT Rennes.
  • St Etienne were very solid after conceding first against Reims. They went on to win 3-1. That followed a 0-2 away win to start off.
  • REnnes lost 2-0 away to Lyon and beat Evian 6-2

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • slight advantage here for me for St Etienne. Only 2 matches each to go on though, but I liked the stats inplay for St Etienne at home last week. More of the same please! There are obviously goals in rennes against the right opponents. BUT note the head to heads at St Etienne historically see a clean sheet for the home side.

430pm - Borussia M'gladbach   v   Stuttgart - 1.91 home
Standout stats
  • the 2nd Bundesliga match today. Head to heads show BM win, Stuttgart win, Stuttgart win, BM win and then 1-1 draw. So there is no strongly favoured team in head to heads. Both teams have scored in the last 3 head to heads held at M'gladbach.
  • 6th last season plays 15th from last season. A solid season for the home side
  • at home M'gladbach only lost 3 matches, 2 of them were against 1st and 4th
  • Things are pretty damning for Stuttgart home and away last season against the top 8 sides, where they lost 14 matches, drew 1 and won 1.

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • we can't be sure that last season's form is transferable to a clean slate new season , but if it is, it suggests Stuttgart will have trouble against against the better sides in the Bundesliga, and with M'gladbach finishing 6th last season, they must be one of the better sides.
  • Do note that both teams have scored in the last 3 M'gladbach head to heads. If Stuttgart score first, I would look to lay them. Caveat - this is the opening match of the season and a watching brief is advised, but you may be swayed by Stuttgart's poor form last season.

430pm - Halmstads BK   v   Elfsborg - 1.91 away
Standout stats
  • 5 wins and 2 draws in the last 7 head to heads in favour of Elfsborg. There were 2 score draws in the last 3 head to heads.
  • Both teams have scored in the last 7 head to heads
  • this is 12th v 3rd
Halmstads
  • have won only 6 matches all season and did win 4 of their last 5 matches. A turning point?
  • have scored in their last 8 home matches and conceded in their last 5 home matches
  • 80% over 2.5 goals at home
  • have scored and conceded at home to all top 13 sides. More of the same today?
  • have scored and conceded in 8 of their last 9 matches
  • only 2 clean sheets this season
  • have failed to score in only 2 of their last 16 matches
  • 5 0-0's at halftime at home
  • Only once at home has an opponent led at halftime
Elfsborg
  • have scored in their last 6 away matches and last 8 matches overall.
  • have kept 4 clean sheets in their last 5 matches
  • only failed to score in 3 matches this season
  • only 5 matches played away v 8th and below, but on 4 occasions, both teams scored.
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • both teams scoring seems to pervade the stats here. So, despite Elfsborg's 4 clean sheets in 5 matches, can we expect both teams to score again?
  • If Elfsborg lead in the first half consider laying them in the HALFTIME market.
  • It looks as if Halmstads will concede at some stage if the match is 0-0 for a while.

4pm - Sunderland v Man Utd  - 1.77 away
Standout stats

  • Oh dear, Man Utd lose their opening match of the season for the first time since Florence Nightingale was the physio.
  • We have new manager syndrome with Manchester United which makes any head to heads etc very hard to incorporate into conclusions. And last year we had yer man Moyes make a pig's ear out of the season so we cannot really take last year's form on trust.
  • Sunderland drew 2-2 away at West Brom in their opening match , scored first, were pegged back , 2-1 down before a late 2-2 equaliser.
  • Man Utd conceded first against Swansea, equalised, then conceded again . They were a good DRT side.
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • instinct would say that this current United side are layable whenever they touch odds on until there is a sign of stability?
  • Past form for United is irrelevant to today because of the new manager syndrome. So this is a match to monitor and consider in-play
5pm - Estoril   v   Rio Ave - 1.85 home
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

515pm - PAOK Salonika   v   Kalloni AEL - 1.25 home
Standout stats
  • the Greek Super league begins and Olympiakos and PAOK are set to dominate proceedings.
  • 2-5 and 2-1 wins for PAOK in head to heads suggests kalloni can play some part.
  • only 2 losses in 15 for PAOK last season.
  • PAOK are rock solid at home  - 18 wins in their last 20 home league matches. In those 20 matches, PAOK did not concede more than 1 goal.
  • only4 wins in 14 matches for Kalloni in the Super League last year.
  • 12 defeats in their last 15 away matches

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • this looks fairly straightforward for PAOK, so it will make for a good DRT match.  Kalloni have scored in the last 2 head to heads so hope Kalloni score first so we can back PAOK

515pm - Atromitos   v   Platanias Chanion - 1.57 home
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

6pm - Eibar   v   Real Sociedad - 2.25 away
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

6pm - RNK Split   v   Slaven Belupo - 1.57 home
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

6pm - Lok Zagreb   v   Rijeka - 1.65 away
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

7pm - CS Universitatea Craiova   v   Petrolul Ploiesti - 1.61 away
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

730pm - Levadiakos   v   Panathinaikos - 1.53 away
Standout stats
  • this is the first match of the Greek Super league season.
  • 0-4 and 3-1 wins for Panathanaikos in the last 2 head to heads
  • only 1 draw for Levadiakos in 30 Greek Super league matches. Will they continue to avoid the draw in this new Greek League season.?
  • Only 1 loss in 15 league games at home for Levadiakos. Interesting that the loss was against Panathanaikos
  • Panathanaikos are tough to read.Only 1 win in their last 5 away league matches last sesaon

Profitable in-play opportunities
    • Panathanaikos are obviously favoured here based on head to heads.Levasiakos had a solid home record but the elephant in the room was their loss to Panathanaikos.

730pm - Boavista   v   Benfica - 1.2 away
Standout stats
  • Boavista are newly promoted and struggled against Braga.
  • Boavista lost to Braga 3-0 and Benfica won 2-0 at home

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • no more research to do. Benfica are expected to win comfortably today , they won the league last year. Lay Boavista if Boavista score first.

8pm - Dinamo Zagreb   v   NK Zagreb - 1.14 home
Standout stats
  • 3 wins in 4 head to heads for Dinamo Zagreb
  • 5 consecutive wins for Dinamo Zagreb and only 1 win for Zagreb this season -they have scored and conceded in 4 of their last 5 matches this season
  • The last defeat at home for Dinamo Zagreb was in August 2010
  • That's the angle in -Dinamo Zagreb are not expected to lose at home so if they are losing at home, back them at enhanced odds.

8pm - Moreirense   v   Braga - 1.83 away
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

8pm - Celta Vigo   v   Getafe - 1.83 home
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

8pm - Nantes   v   Monaco - 2.3 away
Standout stats
  • Draw, Win, Win for Monaco in the last 3 head to heads coincided with money.
  • Nantes have won 1 and drawn 1 match this season.
  • Something is up with Monaco who have lost 2 matches, 1-2 v Lorient and 4-1 away to Bordeaux.
  • Note Monaco have scored in their defeats.A couple of sales for Monaco in Rodriguez to Real madrid and Riviere to Newcastle.
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • I don't know what's up with Monaco. They are getting beaten by teams they'd ordinarily have beaten last season. A watching brief therefore early on this season and it will be followed via live chat.

8pm - Barcelona   v   Elche - 1.08 home
Standout stats
  • 4-0 and 0-0 in head to heads. Only the most optimistic of folks would look for a 0-0 today
  • Barcelona were 2nd by 3 points and Elche 5th bottom, surviving the bottom 3 by 1 point
  • I'm not going to research further. 4-0 or something like that is expected. Another good DRT match as Barcelona are expected to win with ease.
  • Usually we'd expect goals before halftime so lay 0-0 halftime score if the match is 0-0 for a while.

10pm - Levante   v   Villarreal - 2.25 away

Monday, 18 August 2014

20th August 2014

On to today...

1230pm - Tampines Rovers v Tanjong Pagar Utd   -1.39 home

3pm - FK Jelgava v FS METTA LU  - 1.15 home

Saturday, 16 August 2014

SUNDAY 17th AUGUST

1230pm - Hearts v Hibernian  - 2.2 home
Standout stats

  • Both 2-1 wins in their opening matches, and Hearts will, erm, take heart from a 1-2 win against Rangers although that carried an element of "smash and grab" about it.
  • In the Premiership we had 2 2-1 scorelines , one each, and a 2-0 win for Hearts

Profitable in-play opportunities

  • In head to heads and in only the single matches this season, a 2-1 scoreline crops up a lot. Will both teams score? If any team leads 2-0, lay them

1245pm - Sion v FC Basel  - 1.82 away
Standout stats
  • an unexpected loss for FC Basel at 1.4 odds last time out. Can they gain recompense today?
  • Basel are unbeaten in head to heads with Sion in this Swiss Super League match but a 2-2 and 2 1-0 wins is less than convincing; Both 1-0 wins were courtesy of a penalty which brings the 0-0 pre match back to lay into play here.
  • 5 matches played so far
Sion
  • 2 1-0 wins at home this season. 1-1, 1-0, 0-0 away from home and a series of under 2.5 goals matches this season.
Basel
  • 4 wins and a loss v St gallen last time out. All wins were over 2.5 goals . Basel have scored and conceded in all bar 1 match this season

Profitable in-play opportunities
  • Little to go on but an argument can be made to back 0-0 pre match at its highest point and hope this match remains 0-0 for a while.
  • The last 2 head to heads were settled by penalties. Sion at home have had 2 1-0 wins this season and all under 2.5 goals.
  • A hope Basel struggle enough to enable the 0-0 odds to drop and a trade to be made.

1pm - Arsenal Tula v Dinamo Moscow  - 1.45 away
Standout stats

  • this is a Russian Premier League match and these 2 have not met before. Judging by the odds, Tula are the newly promoted side.
  • Arsenal Tula have failed to score this season in 2 defeats and a 0-0 with Rubin kazan
  • Dinamo Moscow won 7-3 against Rostov, lost 1-2 in a local Moscow derby, and beat Ufa 0-2

Profitable in-play opportunities

  • Arsenal Tula will not go the season without scoring. When will they score their first goal? The odds are about right here. If Tula do score first, I will back Dinamo Moscow who have goals in them for sure.
  • A small Sample, but a 100% record for Dinamo Moscow in scoring before halftime - will that continue? If 0-0 for a while, lay the 0-0 halftime score low and late

130pm - llertissen v W Bremen  - 1.24 away
Standout stats

  • the German Cup sees Regionalliga v Bundesliga in a match obviously favouring the away side. There were loads of goals yesterday in Germany.
  • Werder Bremen have not won any of their last 4 Cup matches, 2-1, 2-1, 2-2, 1-1 Both teams have scored, and the teams they played were better than regionalliga.

Profitable in-play opportunities

  • little to go on. I would be very surprised if this ended 0-0. This is a match for the inplay stats at the live chat.

130pm - Liverpool v Southampton  - 1.37 home
Standout stats
  • life without racist cannibal Luiz Suarez. How will Liverpool cope up front?
  • Liverpool have had a busy summer, buying Origi from Lille, Lovren from Southampton,Markovic from Benfica, Can from Leverkusen,Lambert and Lallana from Southampton.
Liverpool
  • 2nd last season by 2 points, so 1 extra win would have won them the title
  • 31 goals Suarez is bound to be missed.
  • Liverpool at home last season won all bar 3 matches, 2 of those being defeats.
  • Southampton won 0-1 at Anfield last season
  • Liverpool only had one 0-0 at halftime ALL last season
Southampton
  • Southampton were 8th last season. They lost away to 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th and as I say beat Liverpool 0-1
  • Having off loaded their best players, erm mostly to Liverpool, Southampton have bought Gardos from Steaua, Long from Hull,Forster from Celtic, Pelle ( no not THAT Pele) from Feyenoord and Tadic from Twente.Saints have also lost Chambers to Arsenal, and Shaw to Manchester United . Their new manager is Ronald Koeman whose credentials , for me, fall a little flat. It's hardly a stretch to manage one of the top 3 in Holland. But the Premiership will be different. I stand to be corrected though by Ronald .
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • most of last year's Southampton are now playing for Liverpool, and the players brought in are less than adequate replacements on paper.
  • This is probably not going to end 0-1 to Southampton as it did last year. New manager syndrome means, like United, we will want to see the character of Southampton under new management. We saw what a horlicks Louis Van Seagull made of it yesterday. It is so hard to measure a team under new management in their first match of the season. Southampton's manager last year was a very defensive coach
130pm - USC Paloma v Hoffenheim  - 1.06 away

130pm - Utrecht v Willem II  - 1.92 home

2pm - AC Horsens v AB T - 1.87 home
Standout stats
  • this is a Danish first division match and we have come across Horsens before
  • 3-0, 3-0, 4-1 3-3 in head to heads. Horsens continued to score 3+ goals until a 0-0 in the last head to head. Their odds do not relate to a team about to score 3+ goals again today!
  • This is 11th ( of 12) v 7th so AC Horsens are not having the best of seasons
AC Horsens

2pm - Falkenbergs v Atvidabergs  - 2.32 home
Standout stats
  • 5 wins for Atvitabergs in the last 6 head to heads.
  • Note the 2.32 odds. I pointed this out recently. it suggests a wide open match so if the stats point to one particular side, we might get some value.
  • This is 12th v 8th in the Swedish top league and these 2 are not the shining lights in Sweden
Falkenbergs
  • have scored in their last 9 home matches and conceded in their last 4 home matches
  • they have conceded in their last 9 matches overall so some defensive frailty
  • both teams have scored in 6 of their last 7 matches

230pm - Stabaek v Odd  - 2.02 away
Standout stats

  • this is a Norwegian top division match and worth researching as they are well into their season
  • Staebeck have not won the last 3 home head to heads.Odd have scored 3-3-2 in those wins
  • this is 9th v 2nd
Stabaek
  • only 1 win in 9 matches
  • have conceded in their last 18 matches
  • have failed to score in only 4 matches this season
  • have scored and conceded in 10 of their last 12 matches
  • only 2 draws all season, 1 at home, one away
  • have actually beaten 3rd and 4th at home this season
  • have scored first in 7 of their 10 home matches
Odd
  • only 3 defeats all season
  • 2 losses away came v 3rd and 4th
  • failed to score in only 4 matches this season
  • 5 consecutive away wins
  • no defeat in 11 overall
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • Odd tend to win when visiting Stabaek and score 2/3 goals. Will that continue? They are the form side going into this with no defeat in 11 and 5 consecutive away wins, they have scored 3 in 3 of their last 5 matches.
  • Stabaek are likely to concede at some stage, and we may see both teams scoring so watch out for that if any team leads 2-0

3pm - Eintracht Trier v Freiburg  - 1.47 away

3pm - Preussen Munster v B Munich  - 1.08 away
Standout stats
  • 3 Liga v Bundesliga and this should be a good pipe opener for bayern Munich with the Bundesliga yet to kick off.
  • Sinca August 2011 only Dortmund have stopped Bayern Munich winning a German Cup match.
  • In recent times , Bayern have scored 6-3-5-4-2-5-5-0 ( v Dortmund) in head to heads. So expect 5/6 goals at least from Bayern Munich today.

345pm - Groningen v Heracles  - 1.73 home

4pm - Benfica v Pacos Ferreira  - 1.32 home
Standout stats
  • 5 wins and a 1-1 draw in the last 6 head to heads for benfica
  • 3-0 and 3-1 in the last 2 home head to heads.
  • This is 1st v 15th of 16 last season. Will Pacos Ferreira struggle again this season?
  • Benfica won all bar 3 score draws at home last season, and only lost 2 matches overall.
  • Only 2 wins for Pacos Ferreira away last season, they lost away to all of the top 5 and there is nothing to suggest a shock.
  • Of course a shock is what we'd like! This should be a routine home win for benfica with ne'er a sniff of a DRT . I said that last year in their match against Gil Vicente which yielded a 120 odds win!

4pm - Braga v Boavista  - 1.38 home
Standout stats
  • Boavista are a newly promoted side to the Portugeuse Primera Liga so are worth following this season to see if they struggle when leading in matches.
  • Braga were 9th last season and lost at home to 1st 2nd, 3rd, 8th and 11th. The matches against 1st, 8th and 11th were 0-1 defeats.
  • braga scored and conceded in 5 home matches against bottom 5 ( and I am assuming Boavista will be in the bottom 5 - a bit presumptuous I know.)
  • Real struggles for Braga against the best in this division last season but as I say at home, to lesser teams, they do not lose even if conceding.
  • Dare I warn you of the shocks we have seen from newly promoted sides , particularly away to established sides? Dinamo Kiev anyone? Copenhagen anyone? So Boavista are an unknown quantity here which precludes any strongly confident plays.

4pm - Marseille v Montpellier  - 1.63 home
Standout stats
  • Marseille hold the advantage in this French Ligue 1 match head to heads. 4 consecutive wins now with 0-1, 3-2, 2-0, 2-3 wins. The 3-2 scorelines were classic " Desmonds" , both 2-2 until the 89th and 90th minutes. So watch out for late action if we have a draw late on.
marseille
  • a 3-3 in their opening match saw marseille 1-3 up!
  • Marseille were 6th last season
  • no draw for Marseille at home to 12th and below last season. They lost home matches against 1st, 2nd, 11th, 12th, 13th and 17th
Montpellier
  • only 3 wins for Montpellier home and away against the top 14 sides. Only 1 win away from home against 14th and higher.
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • Marseille may not lose but they might battle to win. Although they did win 2-0 at home to Montpellier last time out. Lay Montpellier if Montpellier score first.
  • If the match is a very late draw, lay that draw at as low odds as you can get.

4pm - Newcastle v Man City  - 1.68 away
  • Man City have won the last 5 Premiership head to heads so deserve their odds on status here.
  • Newcastle have sold Debuchy and Cabaye and bought in Janmaat, Riviere, Cabella and de Jong - hardly household names
  • Man City have sold Rodwell and Garcia and brought in mangala and Fernando from Porto. No massive earth quaking signings.
  • This is 10th v 1st from last season
  • Newcastle only beat 2 teams above them in the league last year, in Chelsea and Stoke at home.
  • 5 away losses last season for manchester city, 2 came v 2nd and 3rd, 2 v 14th and 15th and one v cardiff. A couple of these defeats may have had the "curse of the Champions league" as a culprit
  • Logic points to City continuing to score 2 goals at least against a Newcastle side who struggled really against teams above them in the league last season.

4pm - Skovde AIK v Orgryte  - 1.46 away
Standout stats
  • Orgryte have been  featured ona  couple of occasions so we should be getting a feel for them now.

4pm  - St Etienne v Reims  - 1.56 home

430pm - Elfsborg v Kalmar FF  - 1.66 home
Standout stats

  • I like the Swedish league as it is 19 games old and there are plenty of patterns to uncover. Do these 2 have any patterns or sequences?
  • Elfsborg have won the last 3 home head to heads 0-0, 3-0 and 1-0
  • Elfsborg don't tend to win when they are away at Kalmar
  • this is 4th v 5th so could this be as tight as the 0-0 last time out?
Elfsborg
  • have a Europa League match coming up. Not sure how they take to the Europa League( EL). We are aware of the "curse of the Champions League" affecting performance in league matches, but what of the EL?
  • only Malmo, 1st, have beaten them at home
  • failed to score in only 3 matches this season
  • 3 clean sheets in their last 4 matches
  • only 1 0-0 at halftime in the last 9 matches
  • have scored in their last 7 matches overall
  • have scored 7 home goals in the last 1/4 hour of matches
Kalmar
  • no win in 6 away matches
  • have conceded in their last 8 matches overall
  • have scored in their last 5 overall
  • have lost away to 1st,2nd, 3rd away, and meeting 4th today
  • have conceded 4-1-3-3-3 in their last 5 away matches
  • failed to score in only 3 this season
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • head to heads point to the home team. That's a strong pattern.
  • Both teams could score today without Elfsborg losing. Kalmar are conceding 3+ regularly away from home
  • we could see a goal before halftime here so lay any late 0-0 halftime score
  • Lay Kalmar if Kalmar score first

430pm - FC Jazz v Haka  - 1.72 away

430pm - IFK Goteborg v Brommapojkarna  - 1.34 home
Standout stats

  • this is the Swedish top flight
  • 6th take on 16th so we should not get any surprises
  • Having said that, Bromma have won 2-1 and drawn 1-1 in the last 2 head to heads.4-0, 1-1, 2-0 though for head to heads at IFK
IFK
  • 10 draws this season is 10 draws too many
  • 2 consecutive score draws is part of a run of 2 wins in 10 matches yet they are strong favourites today.
  • IFK have conceded in their last 9 matches
  • only 1 0-0 at home
Bromma
  • IFK must be thankful they are playing a team with only 1 win this season and only 6 draws , all score draws. A chance for IFK to break this draw habit?
  • no win in 12 for Bromma
  • have have scored in their last 8 overall and conceded in their last 12 overall
  • no win in 9 away matches
  • 56% over 3.5 goals away from home
  • conceded in all aways
  • no 0-0 this season
  • have conceded 15 in the first half away
  • have never led at halftime away
Profitable inplay opportunities
  • Bromma have not lost last 2 head to heads but have been beaten in 2 of the last 3 visits to IFK.
  • Bromma will concede at some stage, and likely first half, so try a 0-0 halftime score lay low and late.
  • Both teams may score today. Bromma have scored and conceded away to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th and 8th, and we know about IFK and their draw itis
  • Bromma could conceivably score first today. If they do in the first half, LAY them in the HALFTIME SCORE market as they have not won away at halftime this season
5pm - Bodo Glimt v Sandnes Ulf  - 1.67 home
Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

5pm - Gent v Zulte-Waregem  - 1.84 home

Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

5pm - Sarpsborg v Molde  - 1.73 away

Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

530pm - Dinamo Kiev v Illychivets  - 1.19 home

Standout stats

  • This is the ukrainian top league
  • only a few matches into the season
  • 5 wins for Kiev and a 0-0 in the last 6 head to heads.Illychivets have failed to score in the last 5 head to heads
  • Soccerway has this as Illychivets at home, Betfair has it the other way around
  • 2 defeats and a 3-3 v Chernomorets for Illychivets
  • 2 wins and a 0-0 for Dinamo Kiev in their 3 matches,

Profitable in-play opportunities

  • like the Benfica match later on, this is another good DRT match because it seems like an obvious win for Dinamo Kiev. Anything else therefore we must get ready for

530pm - FC Magdeburg v Augsburg  - 1.36 away

Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

6pm - Levski Sofia v Botev Plovdiv  - 1.66 home

Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

7pm - Braga v Boavista  - 1.38 home

Standout stats

  • these 2 haven't met since 2008 so Boavista are newly promoted. Now folks, how have the other newly promoted sides fared away to established league sides, so far this season?
  • I think you'll agree that these newly promoted sides have been a right royal pain in the Arse!
  • This makes this a watch and learn match, a match where the inplay stats will reveal whether Boavista have come here with a plan to spoil.

7pm - Ceahlaul v Dinamo Bucharest  - 1.75 away

Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

7pm - Westerlo v Anderlecht  - 1.91 away

Standout stats

Profitable in-play opportunities

715pm - Benfica v Pacos Ferreira  - 1.26 home

Standout stats

  • 4 wins for Benfica in the last 4 league meetings in this Portugeuse league match
  • this is 1st v 15th from last season
  • all wins bar 3 at home last season
  • Expectation of between 2-4 goals
  • Pacos lost all bar 1 away to top 8 conceding 1-4 goals.

Profitable in-play opportunities

  • should be straighforward for benfica which is good news for DRT. Any pacos lead or a concerted period of 0-0 must be exploited in-play

715pm - Plzen v Hradec Kralove  - 1.25 home

Standout stats

  • the Czech league has only just started off
  • 3 wins to nil at home in head to heads, 5-0, 3-0. 1-0 diminishing margins
  • 5 clean sheets in 6 head to heads
  • 2-3-4 scored by Plzen this season in a 2-2 and 2 wins
  • Hradec have 2 0-0 draws and a 3-0 loss

Profitable in-play opportunities

  • if 0-0 is big enough, you might want to back it pre match incase Hradec continue to collect 0-0's. Remember they tend not to score in head to heads so if they keep Plzen quiet for a short while, the 0-0 odds will shorten to allow a trade
  • Another good DRT it seems here , along with Dinamo Kiev and Benfica, as Plzen look likeliest winners.

730pm - SV Darmstadt v Wolfsburg  - 1.55 away
