In the Europa League, both Benfica and Juventus won scoring 2 goals. I was spot on with Sevilla. They scored 4 goals again at home ( I was buoyed was watching them last weekend) and Porto got a late consolation goal.
The market was spot on about Valencia. They won 3-0 full time - precisely the scoreline required to take the match into extra time.
Atletico MG beat Zamora 1-0 in a match which did not present any DRT opportunities.
Another reminder. I am afraid I must go away this weekend so cannot do a live chat ( I really want to, as that new bit of kit I have included which presents shots on target/ corners/ possession really enhances the in-play experience) .I will not be able to research either as I will be travelling so do apologise. If I find time today, I will try to get some of the more eyecatching weekend matches researched for you.
430pm - Spartak Moscow v Kryliya Sovetov - 1.56 home
Standout stats
- Spartak are unbeaten in head to heads -the last 2 being 1-1 and 1-2
- 5th v 11th. I suppose 3rd place is within Spartak's compass.
Spartak
- no win since the Winter Break
- 2-2 at home and 0-1 loss since the winter break
- have only lost 2 matches at home, against 1st in the league and 12th ( most recently unexpected 0-1) That team who just beat Spartak at home were a position lower than today's opponents
- have conceded in their last 5 matches
- only 2 0-0's at halftime at home
Kryliya ( Kry for short)
- have lost 4 and drawn 1 since the Winter break.
- have scored and conceded in 10 of their last 13 matches
- have had 5 1-2 scorelines in their last 6 away matches, 2 wins and now 2 defeats
- have failed to score in only 4 matches so score in defeat more often than not
- have only kept 5 clean sheets
- have lost 8 and drawn 1 of the 9 matches played home and away v the top 5 sides, scoring and conceding in 8 of those matches
- have scored in their last 6 away matches
- only 1 0-0 at halftime away
Profitable in-play opportunities
- both teams could reasonably score today and we could see a goal before halftime ( 0-0 halftime score lay low and late)
- Both teams have not won since the winter break. Spartak are unbeaten in head to heads so a 2-1 would be their optimum ( but with Kryliya really have a 6th 1-2 or 2-1 scoreline in their last 7 away matches?
- With a recent 0-1 loss to lowly Ural, Spartak's form is not that of a 1.56 shot. I suppose the market has factored in Kryliya's inability to win v top 5 sides - 8 losses in 9

5pm - Levadia Tallinn v FC Infonet - 1.31 home
Standout stats
- I don't like researching leagues of only 10 teams, and that is what we have in Estonia. Only 5 matches into the season too. Infonet find themselves 2nd but overwhelming outsiders today.
- This is a match for reference only -there are stats at www.soccerstats.com if you want to play.
