friday, saturday, and sunday

SATURDAY

1215pm - QPR v Leeds - 1.93 home

Standout stats

Profitable in play opportunities

1245pm - East Fife v Rangers - 1.17 away

Standout stats

Profitable in play opportunities

1pm - Xanthi v Levadiakos - 1.74 home

Standout stats

Profitable in play opportunities

230pm - Augsburg v Hannover - 1.8 home

Standout stats

  • Hannover have won the last 3 meetings and have scored 2 in the last 4 meetings
  • this is 8th v 11th
Augsburg
  • only 1 defeat in 10 matches
  • 4 consecutive home wins ended with a 0-1 v Nurnberg
  • failed to score in only 5 matches this season
  • only 2 0-0's at halftime in 16 matches
  • have scored 4-1-2-3-4-0-4 in their last 7 matches. Very consistent goal scoring.
  • no draws at home to teams below them
  • of the 7 home matches played with teams below them, they have won 6, scoring 2+ goals , and losing 1.
  • have conceded in their last 7 matches
  • only 1 0-0
  • only 2 0-0's at halftime at home
Hannover
  • only 3 draws all season
  • have failed to score in their last 3 matches
  • only 3 clean sheets all season
  • have lost all away matches bar a 1-3 win against Wolfsburg
  • failed to score in all away defeats v teams above them
  • have conceded in their last 11 away matches
  • only 1 0-0  this season
  • only 2 0-0's away from home at halftime
  • have conceded 19 goals from 30th-90th minute away
Profitable in play opportunities

  • Hannover are having trouble keeping a clean sheet and could be punished by an Augsburg side who have scored 3-4-0-4 in their last 4 matches
  • if the match is 0-0 coming to the halfhour mark, lay the 0-0 halftime score as Hannover start conceding.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

230pm - Braunschweig v Mgladbach - 1.96 away

Standout stats

  • I'm beginning to warm to the Bundesliga as a DRT -friendly zone
  • only one head to head of relevance was a 4-1 home win for Mgladbach earlier this season
  • this is 18th v 6th and Mgladbach are quite a high price given this .
Braunschweig ( Braun for short)
  • only 4 wins , but have won 2 of their last 3 home matches.
  • have conceded 2-3-2-2 in their last 4 matches.
  • only 5 clean sheets all season
  • only 3 draws all season, 1 came at home.
  • beat 2nd 1-0 at home but lost to 3rd and 4th 1-2 and 2-3.
  • 4 0-0's at halftime a home
  • have conceded a 1/3rd of conceded goals at home in the last 1/4 hour
Mgladbach
  • no win in 7 includes  4 draws and 3 defeats v bayern Munich, Hannover, and Leverkusen
  • Draw, Loss, Draw last 3 away matches.
  • failed to score in only 4 this season
  • conceded in the last 6 matches
  • struggle away from home apart from playing 14th and below, draw with 14th, beat 15th and 16th 0-2. Templates for today?
  • only 1 0-0 away
  • 2 0-0's at halftime away
Profitable in play opportunities
  • at their best Mgladbach should win , scoring 2 or more goals. But there must be a story behind that 1.96 quote? Down to Braun suddenly winning their last 2 home matches
  • Mgladbach don't lose away to 14th and below.
  • I would lay Braun if they score first here.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

230pm - Dortmund v Nurnberg - 1.27 home

Standout stats

  • Nurnberg tend not to lose head to heads at home but then Dortmund tend to win to nil at home too when these 2 meet
  • Dortmund are buzzing after pretty much nailing Zenit mid week. Will this impact upon performance today? at home? Surely not?
  • this is 3rd v 12th
Dortmund
  • since the winter break Dortmund have drawn 1 , won 3 and lost 2, last match pre Champions League, against Hamburg. I think that loss was purely down to the upcoming Champions League match.
  • have failed to score in only 4 matches this season
  • only 1 clean sheet in 13 matches
  • 12 over 2.5 goals matches in their last 13
  • all defeats bar 1 this season have come v top 7
  • won all home matches played v 11th and lower.
  • no 0-0 this season
  • 8 consecutive matches without a 0-0 at halftime
  • consistent goalscorers at home, peaking at 13 goals 1st 1/2 hour of the 2nd half.
Nurnberg
  • 4 wins in their last 5 matches, the only 4 wins this season so Nurnberg are arguably in form.
  • only 2 defeats in 10, perhaps markedly against Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich
  • 2 consecutive away wins
  • only defeats away have come v 1st., 2nd and 6th.
  • no away 0-0
Profitable in play opportunities
  • advantage home team in head to heads.
  • Dortmund could concede though, only 1 clean sheet in 13.
  • Nurnberg have turned a corner but perhaps markedly their only 2 recent defeats were v Leverkusen and Bayern.
  • this should not end 0-0.
  • Lay Nurnberg if they score first. I think Dortmund's loss last weekend was a pre Champions League thing as they nailed Zenit with 4 goals away mid week.
  • Chance a 0-0 halftime score lay as Dortmund have found their scoring boots since the winter break
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

230pm - Leverkusen v Mainz - 1.81 home

Standout stats

  • 3-2 and 2-2 the last time Mainz visited. Leverkusen won 1-4 in September 2013
  • this is 2nd v 9th
Leverkusen
  • only 1 draw all season was a 1-1 v Bayern Munich
  • 5 defeats in their last 7 matches and a title shot has disintegrated there. Scored and conceded in last 3 defeats
  • 2 defeats in last 3 homes
  • failed to score in only 4 matches this season
  • only one clean sheet in 7 matches
  • solid at home. All wins bar that draw with bayern and defeats to 4th and 13th.
  • have scored 2+ goals in wins at home and conceded in all bar 2 home matches
  • no draw in 14 matches
  • 73% over 2.5 goals at home along with 82% overs away for Mainz
  • only 1 0-0 at halftime at home and no 0-0's this season
  • have scored 12 1st half and 14 2nd half goals at home so equal spread.
  • have scored first in only 6 of 11 home matches and considering they lost only 2 at home , they look able to come back from conceding.
Mainz
  • 3 consecutive 0-0's at halftime
  • failed to score in their last 2 away matches
  • only 2 defeats in 11 sees them in form
  • failed to score in only 4 matches , but failed to score in 2 of their last 3 matches
  • clean sheets in 3 of their last 4 matches.
  • 4 defeats and a 0-0 draw away to top 8 this season
  • only 3 0-0's at halftime away
  • 2 0-0's at fulltime all season
  • have conceded 17 of their 23 away goals 2nd half

Profitable in play opportunities

  • Leverkusen are solid at home despite a poor losing run recently overall.
  • Standout stats are the 73% and 82% over 2.5 goals stats for these 2. Something to work with?
  • Leverkusen seem reliable when conceding first so lay Mainz if Mainz score first.
  • both teams have failed to score in only 4 matches this season so statistically are more likely to score today
  • Mainz concede tons in the 2nd half so be ware if they lead 0-1 or if it's 0-0 at halftime
  • only 1 0-0 at home at halftime for Leverkusen is a strong stat, but mainz have had 3 consecutive 0-0's at halftime. Chance a late lay of the halftime 0-0 score in the hope that Mainz sequence ends
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

230pm - W Bremen v Hamburg - 2.66 away

Standout stats

  • 2.66 odds betrays a lack of confidence in the market to pick a winner
  • this is 14th v 16th
  • Werder have scored 2 goals at least in the last 5 head to heads
  • Werder have won 4 of the last 5 head to heads
Werder Bremen
  • only 2 wins in 16 but only 2 defeats in 6 matches
  • only 1 defeat in 4 home matches was against Dortmund.
  • only 3 clean sheets in 13 matches
  • totally unreadable at home. have drawn 0-0 at home to 2nd bottom and bottom ( playing 3rd bottom today)
  • 3 0-0's at halftime at home
Hamburg
  • Hamburg have lost 7 consecutive matches and then suddenly beat Dortmund 3-0 at home ( I think Dortmund were distracted by an upcoming Champions League match.
  • only 4 clean sheets all season
  • have conceded 1-3-3-3-3-3-4 before that 3-0 win
  • 4 defeats and a 1-1 draw in their last 5 matches
  • better away performances v 12th and below scoring 5-2-3-2
  • 82% over 2.5 goals away from home
  • only 1 0-0 at halftime all season
  • no 0-0 this season

Profitable in play opportunities

  • 0-0 hangs over Werder when they play bottom basement so perhaps back it pre match. BUT then this Hamburg concede for fun and Werder have a history of scoring 2 goals against them.
  • This could be a goal fest today in direct contrast to the 0-0's v 2nd bottom and bottom for Werder at home.
  • Expect a goal before halftime as Hamburg have only had a single match finish 0-0 at halftime.
  • both teams expected to score and 2-3, 3-2 is a highly speculative opening salvo.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3pm - Aberdeen v St Johnstone - 1.75 home

Standout stats

  • 0-0, 2-0 and 0-0 the last 3 head to heads at Aberdeen.
  • 0-0 and 0-2 Aberdeen the last 2 head to heads
  • this is 2nd v 6th
Aberdeen
  • only 2 wins in their last 5 matches
  • have failed to score in only 5 matches all season
  • 4 wins and 2 0-1 defeats at home in their last 6 matches
  • 6 0-0's at halftime in their last 8 matches
  • no draw in 10 homes
  • only 1 0-0 all season
  • have only conceded 2 first half goals.
St Johnstone
  • only 4 wins in their last 13 matches
  • have failed to score in 5 of their last 6 away matches.
  • 1/4 of away matches finished 0-0
  • have scored only 7 away goals
Profitable in play opportunities
  • this could be a prolonged 0-0 so perhaps a 0-0 back to lay trade?
  • Aberdeen are the likeliest scorers if there is a first half goal
  • unlikely to see a draw in Aberdeen home matches so chance laying any late draw.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3pm - Celtic v Inverness CT  - 1.33 home

Standout stats

  • 3 wins and a 2-2 draw in the last 4 meetings. At Celtic , 2-2 and 4-1 scorelines sees Inverness scoring
  • this is 1st v 4th and complacency might set in with a 21 point gap at the top in March!
Celtic
  • only defeat of the season last time out down to an early Celtic red card. The market did point to a tough match to be fair with a 1.76 quote about Celtic pre match. Today they return to heavy odds on
  • 8 consecutive home wins
  • 13 clean sheets ended by Aberdeen
  • Celtic have still scored in all matches
  • no draw in 16 matches
  • 7 consecutive home clean sheets
  • only 1 0-0 at halftime at home
  • have scored 14 and 13 1st and 2nd half goals at home
Inverness
  • 4 clean sheets in 5 matches producing the goods with 3 wins and a 0-0 draw.
  • 3 away clean sheets in 4 matches and 3 wins
  • Celtic only won 0-1 back in December.
  • 4 0-0's at halftime away
Profitable in play opportunities
  • the market returns its confidence towards Celtic after last weekend's 1.76 odds.
  • Will Celtic really lose 2 consecutive matches.
  • This could be a defensive clean sheet tussle which might suggest 0-0 pre match back to lay, albeit not with confidence given Celtic are a difference animal at home and score readily before halftime.
  • this match is all about your confidence in Celtic.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3pm - Dundee v Morton - 1.43 home

Standout stats

  • top v bottom in the Scottish Championship so it would be a shock surely were Morton to take any lead
  • 3-1 and 2-1 wins for Dundee in the last 2 head to heads
  • this is 1st v 10th
Dundee
  • only 2 wins in the last 6 matches were both 1-0, hardly filling me with confidence!
  • Loss, Draw, Win in the last 3 home matches
  • have failed to score in only 3 of their last 20 matches
  • 50% clean sheets at home
Morton
  • only 3 wins for Morton all season, 2 of which came at home
  • 3 consecutive 1-1 draws ended with a 0-1 loss
  • 4 consecutive away matches without scoring ended with a 0-1 win at Livingston and a 1-1 at Falkirk
  • only 4 clean sheets all season
  • no 0-0 away

Profitable in play opportunities

  • you take what you're given in a lower league of only 10 participants. Morton been in decent enough form ( relatively speaking) and league leaders only 2 1-0 wins in 6 matches.
  • Dundee tend to find a goal and Morton tend to concede so a hope that continues , particularly if Morton score first ( and they have been collecting 1-1 scorelines of late).

3pm - Everton v West Ham - 1.54 home

Standout stats

  • both teams have scored in 6 of their last 7 meetings
  • Everton have won the last 3 meetings, needing to score 2 minimum.
  • 2-2, 2-2, 2-0 at Everton
  • this is 7th v 10th. Breathing space for the Hammers now re relegation. Everton are seeking 5th spot
Everton
  • only 2 defeats up to the 20th January but then we have 3 defeats in 4 matches and only 1 win in 5 matches
  • the last 3 defeats came away from home, 4-0 v Liverpool, 1-0 v Spurs and 1-0 v Chelsea.
  • 5 wins in 6 home matches. The only aberration was a 0-1 v Sunderland when Everton had their keeper sent off.
  • at home only Sunderland have beaten Everton. Everton have a solid winning record against 8th-15th inclusive scoring 2 goals minimum
  • 2 0-0's at home at halftime
  • scored 1st in 7 of 12 home matches, nearly 50./50
West Ham
  • a draw and 4 consecutive wins in their last 5 matches. This is down to 5 clean sheets in 7 matches
  • have failed to score in only 1 of their last 11 matches
  • away from home, have held Chelsea to a 0-0, lost 4-1 v Liverpool, beat Spurs 0-3, lost 3-1 to man Utd, and had 0-0's v Newcastle and Southampton. A mixed bag indeed!
  • 3 away wins came without conceding. Can we really expect Everton not to score at home?
  • 6 0-0's at halftime away suggests away tactics.

Profitable in play opportunities

  • welcome to the Premiership where it's getting tougher to read teams. What's with West Ham and 4 consecutive wins  and 5 clean sheets in 7, and then everton losing 3 of their last 4 matches , failing to score?
  • Everton seem safer at home, and against 8th -15th inclusive, have won all, and scored at least 2. The market expects this today, and the head to head back up at least 2 goals for the home side.
  • A warning sign re the 0-0 away at Chelsea for West Ham -they could be strongly defensive today - they have kept 3 consecutive away clean sheets .
  • this is a toughie. I think I will side with Everton not losing here as my angle in.
  • No faith in 0-0 halftime score lays given West Ham's new found defensive ardour.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3pm - Fulham v Chelsea - 1.5 away

Standout stats

  • first thing to note is that this is a London derby
  • second thing to note  - this is bottom v top.
  • Chelsea have not conceded in the last 3 Premiership meetings, 0-0 and 2 wins
Fulham
  • 2 draws in their last 3 matches adds 2 points to the tally.
  • 5 defeats in their last 7 matches
  • 3 consecutive defeats at home conceding 4-3-3 against Sunderland, Southampton and Liverpool. Ominous really playing top team Chelsea UNLESS we see a defensive reaction today.
  • only 3 clean sheets all season
  • have lost all matches played at home to top 9
  • 3-4-3-2-3 conceded at home to the top 6
  • no draw in 11 home matches
  • no 0-0's this season
  • 4 0-0's at halftime at home
  • have conceded 15 goals in the last 1/2 hour at home
Chelsea
  • only 3 defeats this season, all away.
  • 8 wins and 2 draws in their last 10 matches
  • won 3 of their last 4 matches keeping 3 clean sheets. Would have been 4 but for an 87th minute WBA home goal.
  • 8 clean sheets in 11 matches
  • failed to score in only 5 matches this season
  • have scored 4-4-2 home and away v bottom 3 this season
  • interestingly away to 9th and lower, Chelsea have scored 3-3-2-3-2-1-4 - very consistent.
  • 5 0-0's at halftime away
  • Chelsea have scored first in only 7 of 13 away matches so scope for a DRT here.

Profitable in play opportunities

  • it all looks rather straightforward ( famous last words). Chelsea at their best can score 2+ goals ( as many as 4) and possibly keep a clean sheet. The number 3 occurs so often with Fulham v top and Chelsea v bottom half so perhaps that is the number to base any correct scores around?
  • No 0-0's this season for Fulham, so if we see that defensive reaction and it's 0-0 til late, lay the 0-0. Fulham also tend to concede late goals so watch out there.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3pm - Hull v Newcastle - 2.46 home

Standout stats

  • the odds tell you all you need to know about this match. Better attacked in the live chat if something happens ( or doesn't happen - we can profit from no goals too). 2.46 tells you the bookies haven't a clue. There are better matches I could research in this one's stead.

Profitable in play opportunities

3pm - Malaga v Valladolid - 1.89 home

Standout stats

Profitable in play opportunities

3pm - Motherwell v Hearts - 1.56 home

Standout stats

  • the perennial underdogs it seems, Hearts were always going to struggle this season.
  • Motherwell have won the last 3 head to heads
  • this is 3rd v 12th
Motherwell
  • Motherwell's last 3 defeats were away
  • They have lost their last 2 matches so the hope of a recovery this time
  • 3 wins and a draw in their 4 matches at home, scoring 3-4-2-4 so Hearts could be in for a hiding.
  • 7 over 2.5 goals matches in their last 8.
  • have failed to score in only 2 of their last 11 matches, one was against Celtic
  • 83% of over 2.5 goals at home.
  • no 0-0 this season
  • only 2 0-0's at halftime at home
  • worryingly conceded 13 goals in the last 1/2 hour of home matches
  • have only scored 1st in 1/2 home matches so there is scope for a DRT here
Hearts
  • only Celtic have beaten Hearts in their last 5 matches
  • only 5 wins this season and 2 in their last 3 matches.
  • only 3 clean sheets all season
  • no defeat in 3 away matches now.
  • 5 0-0's at halftime away from home and 2 in their last 2 matches

Profitable in play opportunities

3pm - Reading v Yeovil - 1.6 home

Standout stats

  • a rare foray into the Championship
  • a 77th minute penalty the only goal when these 2 met at Yeovil
  • this is 6th v 24th
Reading
  • only 1 draw in 16 matches
  • have lost their last 2 home matches without scoring yet scored 3 goals in their last 2 away matches.
  • only 1 0-0 at halftime in their last 16 matches
  • easy enough at home v 18th and lower, with 4 wins and a 1-1 draw
  • have conceded in their last 7 home matches
  • only 3 0-0's at halftime at home
  • only 2 0-0's all sesaon
  • have scored 30 home goals this season, nearly evenly split between 1st and 2nd half
Yeovil
  • only 2 wins in 13 matches
  • unbeaten in their last 3 ( all at home) - a last hurrah?
  • have lost 4 of their last 5 away matches , conceding 3-5-3-3
  • only 7 clean sheets all season
  • beaten by 2 or 3 goals away v the 5 top 11 teams they have played.
  • 5 0-0's at halftime away from home
  • have conceded 19 of their 29 away goals in the 2nd half of matches

Profitable in play opportunities

  • so tight when these 2 met earlier, only  a penalty separated them, but since then Yeovil have lost to all top 11 they have currently played. Yeovil have recent conceded 3+ goals away consistently, Will that occur today. Reading have scored 3 twice recently, albeit away and have not scored in 2 consecutive defeats at home
  • those 2 home defeats is a sequence Reading have a chance of banishing today against bottom side.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3pm - Rotherham v Notts Co - 1.7 home

Standout stats

Profitable in play opportunities

3pm - Stoke v Arsenal - 1.7 away

Standout stats

  • 3-1 in September but it's tough to gauge head to heads now the distinctive Tony Pulis tactics v the top 5 have moved elsewhere
  • This is 15th v 2nd and Arsenal have real title hopes. Stoke are 2 points from relegation so this really is a must win for both sides.
Stoke
  • only 1 win in 10 matches but shoots of recovery? 2 draws and a win in their last 4 matches
  • have conceded in their last 11 matches
  • only 1 defeat in 10 home matches was a 3-5 v Liverpool.
  • only 1 defeat at home to top 12 masks 4 draws.Won 3-2 at home v Chelsea and 2-1 at home to Man Utd ( not THAT Man Utd, though, this is Moyes' Mangled United.)
  • have scored and conceded in their last 6 home matches.
  • have had 5 0-0's at halftime at home
Arsenal
  • only 4 defeats this season and bar that Villa anomoly those defeating Arsenal include Manchester United, Manchester City, and Liverpool all away from home.
  • Arsenal have drawn and lost their last 2 aways
  • Arsenal have failed to score in only 4 matches this season.
  • have kept 5 clean sheets in their last 9 matches.
  • markedly, Arsenal have only lost to 3rd, 4th and 6th away and have scored at least 2 in all bar 1 away match against 9th and lower.
  • Arsenal have scored in their last 7 away and conceded in their last 3 away
  • 4 0-0's at halftime away but no fulltime 0-0's this season away
  • 14 away goals in the last 1/2 hour of matches is good news for DRT'ers

Profitable in play opportunities

  • I begin with that last sentence. 14 away goals for Arsenal in the last 1/2 hour so take note.
  • halftime score a bit touch and go so I'll leave it.
  • Stoke could be competitive here, only 1 defeat at home to top 12 .
  • Arsenal though tend to score 2 goals at least away to 9th and below . Will that continue today?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3pm - Wolves v Port Vale - 1.5 home

Standout stats

Profitable in play opportunities

330pm - Austria Vienna v FC Wacker Innsbruck - 1.42 home

Standout stats

Profitable in play opportunities

4pm - St Etienne v Monaco - 2.8 home

Standout stats

Profitable in play opportunities

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5pm - Fenerbahce v Genclerbirligi - 1.34 home

Standout stats

  • this is 1st v 13th
  • Fenerbahce have easily won the last 3 home head to heads and won September's encounter 0-1
Fenerbahce
  • only 4 defeats all season, but 3 have come in the last 7 matches
  • 6 wins and a draw in the last 7 home matches
  • have failed to score on only 2 matches this season , so a good DRT team
  • only 1 clean sheet in 11
  • have scored and conceded in 9 of their last 11 matches
  • undefeated at home
  • tend to score 2+ against 9th and lower at home
  • only 1 0-0 this season
Genclerbirligi ( Genc for short)
  • have had 2 runs of 2 consecutive wins, but last 4 matches 3 defeats and a draw
  • only 4 clean sheets all season
  • lost last 2 aways
  • only played 2 of the top 8 sides away, losing to 4th and 5th to nil.
  • only 1 0-0 this season

Profitable in play opportunities

  • Genc have only played 2 of top 8away so tough to gauge how they perform v the best, but 2 losses to nil v the small sample of 4th and 5th.
  • Fenerbahce are likely to get a goal, so that is the key DRT angle in.
  • Fenerbahce are strong at home with 6 wins and a draw in 7 so a win is expected. Anything else in play is exploitable.
  • A possible win to nil is on the cards stats wise ( Genc failed to score in 7 of 10 aways).
  • Looks a good DRT candidate match this one.
  • No halftime stats in Turkey
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5pm - Levante v Osasuna - 2.42 home

Standout stats

Profitable in play opportunities

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

530pm - B Munich v Schalke - 1.2 home

Standout stats

  • 6 consecutive wins for Bayern, 6 consecutive clean sheets and 6 consecutive matches scoring 2+
  • these 2 had varying degrees of success in the Champions League. Poor Schalke were mullered by Real Madrid.
  • this is 1st v 4th
Bayern Munich
  • all wins bar 2 draws this season
  • 14 consecutive wins , with 9 clean sheets
  • all wins at home but have not played top 4 yet
  • have scored in all matches
  • 3 0-0's at halftime at home
  • have scored 32 and conceded only 5 at home
Schalke
  • only 3 defeats in 19 matches , v Dortmund, Bayern and Mgladbach
  • 5 wins and 2 0-0 draws in their last 7 matches.
  • have failed to score in only 4 matches
  • 5 clean sheets in their last 7 matches
  • beat leverkusen 1-2 away but lost to 5th and 6th away
  • 2 0-0's at halftime away

Profitable in play opportunities

  • Bayern have already won 4-0 this season away at Schalke.
  • There's normally a goal before halftime so lay the 0-0 halftime score late and low.
  • 5 clean sheets for Schalke in 7 - some resistance today?
  • Clean sheets for Bayern consistently in head to heads though suggest they will score first. DRT reliant on a sustained 0-0 or somehow Schalke scoring first.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

530pm - Southampton v Liverpool - 2.1 away

Standout stats

  • Southampton have won thelast 3 Liverpool visits, and did a 0-1 hatchet job over them last time out at Anfield
  • this is 9th v 4th and Liverpool are still in with a shout at this title.
Southampton
  • only 1 defeat in their last 7 matches since consistently meeting ( and losing) to top 10 teams for about 9 consecutive matches).
  • part of that poor run saw Saints host Aston Villa ( 2-3), Spurs (2-3) and Chelsea (0-3)
  • This conceding 3 goals at home has now turned into conceding 2 goals at home with 2 2-2 scorelines v Arsenal and Stoke City.
  • Saints have only failed to score in 4 matches this season
  • they have kept clean sheets in only 4 of their last 18 matches
  • Loss, Draw, Draw, Loss at home to top 5 this season, Liverpool will make up that 5 today.
  • only failed to score in 2 home matches this season
  • only 1 0-0 all season and 4 0-0's at halftime at home
Liverpool
  • only 5 defeats all season
  • only 2 defeats in 14 matches were away to Man City and Chelsea - 10 wins and 2 score draws in that run.
  • During that run Liverpool have scored 5-4-5-3-1-1-2-5-2-4-1-5-3-4
  • naturally they have only failed to score in 2 all season.
  • only 4 clean sheets in their last 24 matches.
  • 19 over 2.5 goals matches in their last 22.
  • Liverpool have score draws 3-3 and 2-2 v 7th and 8th away and are playing 9th today
  • against the top 12 away, Liverpool have conceded 2-2-2-0-3-2-3-2 - that's quite consistently poor!
  • have scored in their last 8 away and conceded in their last 5 away
  • Liverpool have scored 17 first half goals away ( and conceded 12)
  • only 1 0-0 at halftime away this season.
Profitable in play opportunities

  • there's a general vibe for goals with these 2 teams. Likely we'll see a successful 0-0 halftime score lay
  • Saints have conceded 3-3-3-2-2 in recent home matches, and Liverpool have conceded 2-2-2-0-3-2-3-2 against top 12 teams away.
  • A cheeky 3-2, 2-3 correct score today perhaps?
  • Over 5.5 goals backed if it's 0-0 after 15-20 minutes ( we'll get higher odds).( Cue another 1-0 like last time!!)

6pm - Estoril v Olhanense - 1.32 home

Standout stats

  • 2 of Portugal's lesser lights but is there a story behind the short odds for the favourite?
  • there has been a penalty in 3 of the last 4 meetings between these 2 and the last home match, a 3-3 at Estoril, saw Estoril with 2 penalties and Olhanense with 1. Bad blood and a possible bookings bet today?
  • Both teams have scored in the last 4 head to heads and they are too tight to suggest a team as a natural 1.32 shot today
  • this is 4th v 15th
estoril
  • unbeaten in 9 matches and only 4 defeats all season
  • a terrible run of 3 consecutive home defeats has ended with a Win, Draw, Draw, Win at home
  • only failed to score in 4 matches this season
  • not played bottom 3 this season at home but away have a 0-0, 1-2 win and 0-3 win.
  • only 2 0-0's all season
Olhanense

  • only 4 wins all season plays only 4 defeats all season!
  • all 4 wins came at home and won their last match
  • 4 consecutive away defeats
  • have conceded in their last 11 matches and only 3 clean sheets all season
  • no away win this season and have failed to score away to top 6 ( 3 defeats and a 0-0)
Profitable in play opportunities
  • speculators amongst you might like to go high on bookings, what with 3 penalties last time these 2 met at Estoril.
  • 4 wins all season plays 4 defeats all season so statistically Estoril will not lose. Therein is our angle , if Olhanense are buoyed by their home win last match and score first, I am sure they can be layed.
  • We are likely to see an Estoril goal.
  • This should not end 0-0

745pm - Roma v Inter - 1.69 home

Standout stats

  • maybe fit this into the "best on the day" category as it is one of those high profile matches which don't normally go with the stats
  • 5 wins and a draw for Roma in recent meetings ( 2 of those wins were in the Coppa Italia so not sure re the level of Inter's interest in the competition.)
  • this is 2nd v 5th. 9 points the gap to Juventus so this is a critical game with Roma having a game in hand. Either it's a manageable 6 point difference and still a shot at the title, or it will be worse case 9 points, or with a draw, 8 points. A win therefore is a must and could determine Roma's involvement in the title
Roma
  • only 1 defeat all season v Juventus
  • 6 clean sheets in 8 matches now a return to clean sheetery of early in the campaign.
  • 5 wins and a 0-0 in the Rome derby since losing to Juventus
  • 5 consecutive home wins, the last 4 being 4-0, 4-0, 3-0, 3-0
  • only failed to score in 3 matches
  • only 1 0-0 at halftime in the last 10 results
  • have beaten 3rd, 5th and 6th at home scoring 2-2-3 so reasonable to assume that they can cope with Inter Milan?
  • undefeated at home
  • 9 0-0's at halftime at home and away this season
  • have only conceded 2 goals at home
Inter Milan
  • only 5 defeats all season but 4 of them came in the last 10 matches and all away defeats
  • have failed to score in only 4 matches this season
  • have lost away to 1st and 3rd this season
  • have conceded in their last 6 away matches
  • no away 0-0's this season

Profitable in play opportunities

  • the stats point to a 2/3/4 at best goal haul for Roma, in a match I would have expected to have been a lot tighter
  • Inter Milan have faltered against top 3 away, Roma have beaten the top 6 at home relatively easily.
  • It seems a straightforward DRT match. Side with Roma over 90 minutes.
  • This may take a while to get going. Not sure whether a 0-0 pre match is a goer but Roma have had 9 0-0's at halftime this season, BUT have scored 3 or 4 in their most recent home matches.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

745pm - Vitesse v Roda JC - 1.28 home

Standout stats

  • fair do's to Vitesse, they came from behind last week when priced shorter than this, and won with ease. More please Vitesse!
  • is this a bogey team I see before me:? Roda have only lost 1 of the last 5 meetings, 3-1 win, 3-0 loss, 3-3, 1-1, 3-1 win. The 3-1 win latterly saw  83rd and 90th minute  goals so perhaps a case of Vitesse switching off at the end of the match?
  • 3rd v 18th hence the market's favouring of Vitesse
Vitesse
  • only 2 defeats in 16 matches and only 5 defeats all season.
  • Vitesse had failed to score in 3 matches before that 3-1 win last time out
  • still only 1 win in 6 matches
  • only 6 clean sheets all season.
  • only lost to 4th and 6th at home
  • against bottom 4, 0-0, 3-1 win and 1-1 draw is hardly endearing me to Vitesse.
  • at their best at home, they can score 3 goals .
  • 67% over 2.5 goals matches at home v 83% over 2.5 goals away from home for Roda
  • only 1 0-0 this season
  • only 1 0-0 at halftime at home
  • most damage done by Vitesse in the last 1/4 hour of each half, scoring 6 and 7.
Roda
  • only 1 win in 14 matches.
  • 5 consecutive losses.
  • have lost 4 and drawn 1 of their last 5 away matches.
  • have failed to score in their last 3 matches
  • only 4 clean sheets all season
  • 3 consecutive 0-0's at halftime and 2 consecutive 1-0 defeats suggest Roda put up a fight.
  • wins away have only come v 15th and 16th
  • have conceded in all bar 1 away match. Infact, have conceded in their last 10 away matches
  • only 3 0-0's at halftime away from home

Profitable in play opportunities

  • the value here is in taking the "bogey team" argument presented by head to heads and laying Vitesse, particularly if they score first ( as Roda have only scored first in 2 of 12 aways).A 1-3 to Roda is a highly speculative punt based on that bogey team analysis.
  • In the cold light of day this season, Roda are in terrible form, will likely concede and have trouble scoring. They look ill-equipped to win in stark contrast to the "bogey team" of head to heads.
  • Vitesse seem to avoid 0-0's at halftime so perhaps lay the 0-0 halftime score ( but then Roda throw a spanner in the works with their 3 consecutive 0-0's)
  • I didn't have any faith in Vitesse last week but they came from behind to win when similarly priced.
  • All in all a messy match!

SUNDAY 2nd MARCH 2014

I left you after a frustrating period where Fenerbahce scored the 2+ goals as expected and Southampton couldn't land a blow against a Liverpool side scoring 4. Did you notice the following after I left?
- Go ahead eagles 2-0 up against PSV at halftime. PSV were 1.66 pre match and Go ahead were 1.63 to lay. That was too tempting for yours truly and I got involved. A quick 2nd half PSV goal produced the first exit point, 2-2 came on 67 minutes and 2-3 on 90 minutes ( I was out of the trade by then).
 - 1.55 odds Gent in the Belgian league went 0-1 down, equalised before halftime for a good trade, and went on to win.

Sorry I couldn't highlight these for you.
Yesterday was a day where market leaders tended to score first, including Chelsea, Fenerbahce, Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Aberdeen, Motherwell, Celtic, Wolves thereby negating any DRT's.
It's a busy day day with a consistent smattering of short priced favourites starting at 11am with Villareal, and 1130am with Sivasspor. I will do a live chat at 130pm and hope for some consistent action throughout the day. Once the matches dry up, the live chat will end but that need not be the end of your trades as seen yesterday.

11am - Villarreal v Real Betis - 1.4 home

1130am - Cagliari v Udinese - 2.4 home

1130am - Utrecht V Twente - 1.6 away

1130am - Sivasspor V Elazigspor - 1.66 home

1230pm - Greuther Furth v FSV Frankfurt - 1.66 home

130pm - Club Brugge V Standard Liege - 2.3 home

Standout stats

Profitable in play opportunities

130pm - Feyenoord V Ajax - 2.2 home

Standout stats

  • a 2-2 and then 3 consecutive wins in head to heads for Ajax ( all coming at home though)
  • 4-2 and 2-2 in the last 2 meetings at Feyenoord
  • this is 4th v 1st
Feyenoord
  • only 1 defeat in 11 sees them in good form
  • have scored and conceded in their last 7 matches with 2 score draws in their last 2 games
  • 4 wins and a draw in the last 5 matches includes the scalp of PSV and a 1-1 with Vitesse
  • have failed to score in only 1 match this season
  • have kept 5 clean sheets this season
  • have drawn at home to 2nd and lost 1-4 v 3rd so may be vulnerable?
  • have scored in all home matches
  • no 0-0's at halftime at home and only 2 all season
  • no 0-0's this season
  • Pelle has scored 14 home goals this season. Big disadvantage if he is NOT playing
  • have scored an amazing 12 home goals in the last 1/4 hour of the first half and 8 home goals in the first 1/4 hour of the 2nd half.
Ajax
  • have lost only 3 this season
  • 13 without defeat includes 11 wins and 2 draws
  • 1-2, 1-2, 0-1, 1-1, 1-1 are the latest away scorelines and they suggest struggles. Compare to the 2 most recent home scorelines of 3-0 and 4-0!
  • have scored in their last 13 matches
  • have not beaten top 9 away this season, includes 4 score draws!
  • only 2 0-0's at halftime away
  • strong starters and finishers. 9 goals in the first half hour and last 1/2 hour of away matches

Profitable in play opportunities

  • if this was based on home form, Ajax would not be 2nd favs here.
  • Expect a goal before halftime here
  • Possibility both teams could score given Ajax's recent away matches where both teams scored in 4 of the last 5 matches, and their score draws v top 9 away
  • Feyenoord have been vulnerable to the top 2 at home, scoring and conceding in a 1-1 and 1-4 result. PLaying top today.
  • this could be as busy as the head to heads?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------2pm - Manchester City v Sunderland - 1.3 home

Standout stats

  • this is the league cup final and as such is one of those " one off" matches where statistics will not really have a bearing on the result.
  • Quite simply, take a side, or an angle and follow that into the match, e.g. City will not lose etc.
  • That ends my research here!

2pm - Atalanta v Chievo - 2.05 home

Standout stats

  • 3 1-0's and a 2-2 in the last 4 head to heads ( 2 1-0's going the way of Atalanta)
  • this is 14th v 16th
Atalanta
  • 3 consecutive home wins ended with a 0-4 v Parma
  • failed to score in 3 of their last 5 matches, but an exception ., a 3-0 win against Napoli. What a strange team Atalanta are!
  • only 2 clean sheets in 18
  • tend to struggle at home to 7th and above, but below 7th, it's 6 wins out of 6, scoring 2 goals on 5 occasions
  • 6 0-0's at halftime at home
  • have conceded 9 goals at home in the last 1/2 hour of matches
Chievo
  • only 1 win in 10 came in their last match
  • no win in the last 5 aways included 3 losses
  • only 2 clean sheets in the last 10 matches
  • all wins bar 2 have come against bottom 3 sides.
  • 2 away wins were 0-1.
  • 6 0-0's at halftime away

Profitable in play opportunities

  • I must stress these are 2 teams I wouldn't normally focus on. I prefer your Romas, Inter Milans, Napolis and Juventus!
  • On the bare face of it, it looks advantage Atalanta here .
  • Likely to be 0-0 for a while, Atalanta have not had a 0-0 all season so expect a goal at some stage.
  • Atalanta at their best will score 2 and win today if they keep their solid form at home v 7th and below up.  A failure to score in 3 of 5 away matches tells you why they are 14th
  • A 2-1 speculative correct score involves both sides ( Atalanta only 2 clean sheets in 18) and I may get interested if Chievo score first
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2pm - Torino v Sampdoria - 2 home

Standout stats

  • a seria a match between 8th and 13th
  • 3 consecutive draws in the last 3 head to heads

Profitable in play opportunities

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2pm - Dinamo Zagreb V Lokomotiva Zagreb - 1.21 home
Standout stats

  • Dinamo Zagreb have won all head to heads
  • this is the croatian top flight so limited stats
  • 1st v 4th
Dinamo Zagreb
  • only 2 defeats since Feb 2013 ( could be longer but soccerway don't go back any further)
  • unbeaten in 10 with 8 wins and 2 2-2 draws
  • unbeaten at home since July 2011 when soccerway stats began.
  • 16 wins and a 2-2 draw in their last 17 matches
  • have conceded in the last 4 home matches
Lokomotiva Zagreb
  • only 4 wins in their last 10 matches and defeats have seen them concede either 2 or 3 goals
  • only 3 wins in 9 away matches and 4 defeats saw them concede 2-3-3-3
Profitable in play opportunities
  • not much to go on, but clearly Dinamo Zagreb are a force at home and should win, scoring 2 minimum. They may concede, but in the 2 2-2 draws, conceded 1 and 2 goals first and still did not lose.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2pm - Genoa v Catania - 2.1 home

Standout stats

Profitable in play opportunities

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

230pm - Hoffenheim v Wolfsburg - 2.6 home and 2.6 away
Standout stats

  • both sides have scored in the last 7 head to heads
  • Wolfsburg have drawn 1 and won 3 of the last 4 head to heads
  • this is 10th v 5th
Hoffenheim
  • only 2 defeats in 9 matches came away from home
  • 2 draws and 2 wins in their last 4 home matches scoring 4-2-3-4
  • have failed to score in only 3 matches this season.
  • have kept only 1 clean sheet this season
  • only 3 matches have been under 2.5 goals this season and 2 of those matches saw 2 goals
  • have scored and conceded in 10 of their last 11 home matches.
  • have lost at home to 1st, 2nd and 7th
  • have scored in all home matches
  • only 2 0-0's at halftime all season
  • no 0-0 this season
Wolfsburg
  • have scored in their last 14 matches and failed to score in only 4 all season
  • only 5 clean sheets this season
  • have scored and conceded in 10 of their last 12 matches
  • only 1 away defeat in 7 matches
  • 3 consecutive wins scoring 3-2-3
  • have lost 5 away matches this season, 3 against top 4 and interestingly 2 against 9th and 11th ( 0-2) and are playing 10th today.
  • no 0-0 this season
  • 3 0-0's at halftime away
Profitable in play opportunities
  • Hoffenheim's stats are amazing. Likely both teams will score, there'll be a goal before halftime, over 2.5 goals should come in . It's only good as a DRT if the match is actually 0-0 for a while!

4pm - Atl Madrid v Real Madrid -   2.1 away
Standout stats

  • this is one of those "best on the day" matches, a local derby and easily a potential title decider.
  • most recent meetings in the copa del rey both won by Real Madrid . Atl Madrid won 0-1 away at Real earlier in the season
  • this is 3rd v 1st and Real madrid have a precious 3 point gap at the top after weeks of stalemate between the big 3
Atl Madrid
  • only 3 defeats all season but 2 came in their last 2 away matches
  • 7 home clean sheets in their last 9 matches
  • a recent home 0-0 with barcelona might suggest tactics against the big 2.
  • 13 at home without defeat
  • both sides have 77% over 2.5 goals home and away.
  • only 1 0-0 at home and only 2 0-0's at home at halftime
  • 41 scored and 7 conceded at home
  • only conceded 1 goal at home in the first half hour.
  • no opponent has yet led at homeat Atl madrid
Real Madrid
  • only 2 defeats this season against Atl Madrid and Barcelona
  • 13 wins and 2 away score draws in their last 15 matches
  • 6 clean sheets in their last 8 matches
  • only Atl Madrid have stopped Real scoring this season
  • intriguingly, Real have lost away 2-1 to Barcelona, drawn 1-1 with 4th and 2-2 with 5th. Struggles away to top 5 sides.
  • have played 10 matches home and away to top 9 sides and scored and conceded in 9 of them
  • have scored in all away matches
Profitable in play opportunities
  • 77% over 2.5 goals for both of these screams goals but then 0-0 and 1-0 win for Atl Madrid v the big guns screams "caution!"
  • Real Madrid look vulnerable away to top 5 , failing to win in 3.
  • They have scored in all aways just as Atl have scored at home in all bar that 0-0 v Barcelona
  • The problem with taking a statistical stance here is that this is a "one off" as I said earlier, as well as a fierce derby ( bookings points bet anyone?) so I am reluctant to put up any betting angles.

430pm - Aston Villa v Norwich - 2.05 home

Standout stats

  • Aston Villa have won the last 2 2013 head to heads , both away and 1-2 and 0-1 so tight encounters
  • this is 13th v 14th and an identical record , bar goal difference. Both teams are 4 point from the relegation zone. 3 points therefore take on huge significance

Aston Villa
  • only 2 wins in 13.
  • Villa have failed to score in their last 3 matches
  • 3 consecutive 0-0's at halftime
  • only 2 clean sheets in 14 matches
  • have lost all bar one match v teams above them. Some solace v teams below them, with wins v 17th and 19th a 0-0 draw v 18th and 0-1 loss to 16th. They play 14th today
  • have conceded in their last 6 homes
  • 5 0-0's at halftime at home
  • conceded 12 halftime goals at home, scoring only 4.
Norwich City
  • only 2 wins in 12 is equally as hopeless
  • Norwich have failed to score in 3 of their last 5 matches
  • have lost their last 3 away matches, failing to score in 2 of them.
  • have kept 4 clean sheets in their lsat 6 matches but most of this good work is occuring at home
  • like Villa, they have lost away to all teams above them, but hold promise v teams below them . Villa are 1 position above them
  • only 2 0-0's at halftime away
  • only 1 0-0 away
  • have equally scored 4 and conceded 14 away in both 1st and 2nd halves
Profitable in play opportunities
  • relegation 6 pointer if ever there was one. These 2 are equally as poor as each other and it's not a match I want to get involved in at all.  Both teams have recent records of failing to score so perhaps a 0-0 back to lay trade? As I say these 2 are not getting my money!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

430pm - Tottenham v Cardiff  - 1.33 home

Standout stats

  • head to heads irrelevant as both sides have new managers and the home side's manager has made such a differing impact to his predecessor.
  • this is 5th v 19th and Spurs are only 10 points from the leaders. With such a tight bottom half of the league, 3 points makes a huge impact. 12th spot are only 4 points from the relegation zone
Tottenham ( the Sherwood Spurs)
  • only 2 defeats under Tim Sherwood
  • 3 wins to nil and a loss to Man City in their last 4 home matches
  • Spurs only failed to score in their last match under Sherwood
  • have kept 2 clean sheets in their last 3 matches
  • have not played the bottom 3 away which is problematic as we don't know how Spurs cope with the desperation tactics of relegation threatened sides away from home.
  • there may be a hint. Against 11th to 17th at home, Spurs have won 5 matches to nil and had a 1-1 draw.
Cardiff
  • only 3 wins in their last 21 matches
  • 6 consecutive away defeats
  • failed to score in 6 of their last 8 matches and in 3 of their last 4 away matches
  • only 1 clean sheet in their last 11 matches
  • only 1 win away was v bottom side Fulham.
  • have lost to all of the top 6 away , conceding at least 2 goals on each occasion ( infact 3 goals twice and 4 goals twice!)
  • have conceded in their last 6 away matches
  • 5 0-0's at halftime away matches Spurs' figure at home
  • have conceded 11 goals in the last 1/4 hour of away matches so beware!
Profitable in play opportunities
  • have faith in a late Cardiff concession from 75th minute onwards if this it tight
  • this has the makings of a win to nil for Spurs, scoring between 2-4 goals if on song
  • the halftime score stats don't point to a 0-0 halftime score lay but it might be worth changing late and low if 0-0 for a while.
-------------------------------------------------------

530pm - Olympiacos V Panathinaikos - 1.36 home
Standout stats
  • this is a derby and a half. I would love to be there. Olympiakos will be buzzing after dispatching Mangled United
  • 2-1, 1-1., 1-1 the last 3 meetings at Olympiakos/
  • Olympiakos won away 0-1 in the most recent head to head
  • this is 1st v 4th
Olympiakos
  • all wins bar 2 0-0's
  • have won all home matches scoring 2 minimum goals
  • 9 clean sheets at home
  • 8 clean sheets in their last 10 matches
Panathanaikos
  • only 3 defeats in 16  matches
  • only 2 wins in their last 5 away matches
  • have failed to score in only 4 matches
  • have lost away to the 3 sides from the top 6 they have played, 2-1, 1-0, 1-0
  • no 0-0's all season
Profitable in play opportunities
  • Olympiakos are having a rare old season and should win scoring 2 minimum, but this is a superb derby match and is historically tight.Something along the lines of 1-0, 1-1, 2-1 is expected from previous meetings
  • I would definitely favour Olympiakos when trading this match , so hope for a Panathanaikos goal first in this match.
  • There are no halftime stats for this match.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
745pm - Milan v Juventus - 2.1 away
Standout stats

  • the last 3 head to heads have been at Juventus and they drew, and won 2
  • this is 9th v 1st
Milan
  • only 1 defeat in 6 came against napoli 3-1
  • unbeaten in 4 home matches now with 3 wins and a 1-1 draw and 3 clean sheets in those wins
  • Despite their woes this season, Milan have only failed to score in 3 matches.
  • 7 of Milan's 8 defeats this season came against top 7 sides which suggests a weakening of this Milan side and obvious vulnerability v Juventus
  • Milan have conceded 2 goals at home to 2nd , 3rd and 4th
  • 4 0-0's at halftime at home
Juventus
  • only 1 defeat this season and that was while 0-2 up away at Fiorentina
  • In fact all dropped points this season have come away ( 1 loss and 3 draws )
  • Juve have score drawn their last 2 away matches, a sequence they would want to end, albeit they have a comfort zone at the top of the league
  • Juve have scored in all matches this season
  • Juve have not had a 0-0 at home in 11 matches
  • an air of vulnerability away only really agianst the top 6 where they have lost 1 and drawn 2.
  • Juve have conceded in their last 4 away matches
  • 5 0-0's at halftime away from home
  • have scored 16 of their 23 away goals in the 2nd half
Profitable in play opportunities
  • some comfort in the win earlier in the season and Juve away only seem troubled by top 6 sides.
  • quite markedly, 7 of Milan's 8 defeats this season have come v top 7 sides
  • Expect a Juventus goal at some stage so take a note should Milan score first, that Juve have scored in all matches this season.
  • Milan themselves have failed to score in only 3 so perhaps we are heading for a 1-1? ( although Juve surely will want their 2 score draw away sequence to end?)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8pm - Barcelona v Almería - 1.06 home
Standout stats
  • With the Madrids slitting each other's throats, Barcelona must win in what could be a pivotal weekend for the La Liga title
  • Barcelona have won the last 5. No 2012 head to heads.
  • 2nd v 16th
Barcelona
  • 3 defeats this season most unlike Barcelona
  • 2 defeats in last 4 matches
  • have failed to score in 3 this season
  • Generally 3,4,5,6 goals scored against 13th and lower at home
  • only 1 0-0 at halftime at home
  • have scored 21 goals in each half at home.
Almeria
  • only 2 wins in 7 matches came at home
  • have lost 5 of their last 6 away matches without scoring
  • have failed to score in 4 of their last 6 matches
  • 3 clean sheets in 5 matches includes a home 2-0 win against Atl Madrid of all sides!
  • quite emphatically have lost to all top 7 sides they have played away
  • no draw in 12 aways
Profitable in play opportunities
  • not sure why I research this to be honest! 1.06 means expect a goal or more before halftime, and 3/4 Barca goals and a possible win to nil.
  • the only sliver of hope is Almeria's 3 clean sheets in their last 5 matches and 2-0 home win v Atl Madrid. Do note though that they have lost to all top 7 away that they have played so far
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8pm - PSG v Marseille - 1.33 home
Standout stats

  • PSG have scored 2 in 5 of the last 6 head to head , winning the last 4
  • this is 1st v 5th
PSG
  • ultra reliable DRT team given they have a class attacking unit
  • only 1 defeat this season.
  • 9 wins and a draw in their last 10 home matches
  • failed to score in that sole defeat only
  • 5 clean sheets in their last 6 home matches
  • have score drawn 2nd and 3rd at home and play 5th today
  • 9 home clean sheets is impressive though
  • scored in all home matches
  • no 0-0 this season
  • only 2 0-0's at halftime at home
  • have scored 38 homegoals and conceded only 6
marseille
  • only 1 defeat in 9 matches
  • failed to score in only 5 this season
  • only 3 clean sheets in their last 18 matches but did keep 2 in their last 3 matches
  • no wins away v top 10, with defeat to nil v 2nd and 3rd and draws v 4th, 6th, 9th and 10th
  • have conceded in their last 8 away matches
  • 46% of away matches see a 0-0 at halftime time
Profitable in play opportunities
  • you suspect a win to nil for PSG, 2-0, 3-0 that kind of thing.
  • Marseille adept at 0-0's at halftime but PSG's goal scoring at home is imperious and as long as Cavani and Ibra play, we should be in positive territory
  • PSG have scored in all matches bar one so keep the faith that they will score if it's 0-0 or they're losing. Remember this is the key to DRT
  • Look to late goals with PSG -I have noticed that this season, particularly if things are not going well at home.
