SATURDAY 2nd August 2014 DRT ready for the website.

Summary of yesterday's matches

1pm - Paris St-G v Guingamp - 1.4 home

PSG won 2-0 just as I had hoped they would from yesterday's research.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2pm - FC Vestsjaelland ( Vest) v FC Copenhagen - 1.99 away

There were limited stats for this match as the Danish season is just beginning. If you were taken by the " only 4 losses from 11th August to 18th May for Copenhagen", then seeing them 2-0 down would have been an ideal position in which to 1) lay Vestsjaelland in a reverse of my lay the away side 0-2 up before halftime or 2) back Copenhagen at enhanced odds and hope they behave like the team who had that great run in last year's season
Copenhagen equalised in the 55th and 61st minutes to allow for a very nice trade.
Lesson to learn? Any team 2-0 up before halftime is worthy of your attention, especially when they play one of the better sides in the league.
A nice DRT there.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2pm - MyPa v HJK Helsinki - 1.92 away

HJK took the lead in the 42nd minute and held on to the end. Both teams did not score today. The stats did tell us that HJK had scored first in 8 of their 10 aways. No blow from MyPa though.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2pm - Trans Narva v Nomme Kalju -1.14 away
This match was a huge surprise at 0-0. The lesson here? Delay, then delay some more. I layed the draw at odds of 1.05 right at the death hoping for a Nomme Kalju goal . It was not to be. THe longer you delay the shorter the odds for the layer and the bigger the odds for the backer.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

230pm - Stromsgodset v Sogndal - 1.43 home

Stromgodset did not score the 3 goals expected of them, but did score first. That ended any real DRT interest in the match. Sogndal scored in the 84th minute to equalise.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

230pm - Tottenham v Celtic - 1.81 home

An easy 6-1 win for Tottenham and the general rule "is to oppose Celtic against any Premiership opposition"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3pm - Falkenbergs v Malmo FF - 1.91 away

With Falkenbergs scoring first, there was a nice DRT as Malmo had scored in all matches this season and were expected to score today. Indeed Malmo scored next and led 1-2 at the halftime break. Malmo put to bed the inability to score more than 1 goal in recent away matches by scoring 5 today. A nice, simple DRT finished by halftime here.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6pm - SV Ried v Red Bull Salzburg - 1.27 away

This match was 0-0 at halftime, so that was the first shock as we were expecting a " comfortable afternoon". So, exploit this shock. Back REd Bull at better odds, or lay the draw ( or 0-0) and hope this is recitifed.
And the goal came in the 50th minute, and another was added to make it a simple 0-2 win for Red Bull.
Red Bull have done this before, so are worth following through a season.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

630pm - CSKA Moscow v Torpedo Moscow - 1.39 home

Welcome to the top league Torpedo! They scored first. There was a DRT available there if you felt that last year's champions, who "won all bar 2 matches" at home, would not go down at home to a newly promoted side.
CSKA equalised and went on to win 4-1. Another nice and simple DRT as per the Falkenbergs match earlier.
If you focus just on these simple ones to start with, you'll gain some confidence to then move onto the 0-2 strategy, the 2-2 strategy, the halftime score lay and all of the other DRT strategies.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7pm - Steaua Bucharest v CS Uni Craiova - 1.46 home
No DRT here as Steaua dominated this match from start to finish

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
715pm - Sparta Prague v Vysocina Jihlava - 1.25 home

0-0 at halftime should have been something to exploit , as the research suggested " in all bar 1 match at home last season, they ( Sparta) scored between 2-4 goals). Well they won 3-0 which is between 2-4 goals! How could you have maximised profits here?
Well, firstly, enter the market at the beginning of the 2nd half. Secondly, look perhaps at backing over 2.5 goals here at the start of the 2nd half. The odds would be far better as the match is still 0-0.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

730pm - Legia Warsaw v Gornik Zabrze - 1.64 home

A nice DRT here if you followed the research's expectation for both teams scoring. Gornik took a lead thanks to an own goal. There's the clue that this was a potential shock. They didn't even score the goal!
Legia Warsaw equalised in the 2nd half, both teams scored, and a nice DRT trade as per Falkenbergs and CSKA Moscow.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

730pm - Los Angeles v Portland Timbers - 1.63 home

I laboured the point yesterday in research. Did you pick it up? No team had led at Los Angeles at halftime this season. So , tell me folks, what do you do when Portland Timbers score first? If you read the message, and the intro to the message, you'd have laid Portland Timbers NOT in the match odds market, but in the HALFTIME market ( I'm not shouting, just emphasising!). And so, as if by magic, L.A. got the equaliser in the 48th minute of the first half. This market could have been entered into again in the 45th minute for low risk high reward trading out.
That's how to use the research!.
L.A. went on to win 3-1 and Robbie Keane scored 2 2nd half goals.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8pm - Dinamo Zagreb v Zadar - 1.14
What do 1.14 shots do? ( Are you listening Nomme Kalju?). They win 5-0 . That's what they are supposed to do.

In the end, there were some really good simple DRT trades yesterday from Portland Timbers, Falkenbergs and Torpedo Moscow scoring first.
THe highlight of the day? I did mention the halftime stat for LA Galaxy and I do hope you paid heed and exploited the fact L.A. had never lost at halftime at home this season.
