4th march

3-2 it ended against Kuwait with Iran nicking a late winner.  Very short priced favourites Plovdiv spared their blushes with a 90th minute equaliser , and Giannina beat Platanias 1-2 in a match I left alone.  I was keen to oppose Kuwait but there was never any opportunity to lay them as Iran scored first and I was ever wary of the draw as Kuwait do lots of draws away from home.

6pm - Hammarby v Angelholms - 1.58 home
This is a Swedish Cup match between 2 topflight sides and I don't feel that it warrants an investment of my time as the market is likely to be illiquid.

750pm - France U21 v Belarus U21 - 1.12 home
This is a UEFA Under 21 Championship match so you'll be assured that we'll see a competitive match.
1.12 as you know equates to 3/4 goals and a possible win to nil.
AS recently as September 2013 Belarus scored first and France needed a penalty to get back on parity, and then pushed on with a 1-2 win

Standout stats
France u21

  • 6 consecutive wins now scoring 2-5-2-4-4-6 and punctuated by conceding in 4 of those matches.
  • only Columbia u21 have beaten France U21 at home in all competitions since 2010.
  • 14 wins and 2 defeats in their last 16 in the under 21 Championship.
  • 8 consecutive home wins in this competition, all without conceding
Belarus u21
  • a look at the teams they have beaten recently might suggest their level  -San Marino 1-0, Kazakhstan 1-2 and 4-1, St Petersburg u21 0-3 and Estonia 2-0
  • 8 defeats and 2 wins v San Marino and Kazaks in this competition
Profitable in play opportunities
  • side with France here and hope Belarus u21 score first ( as France do tend to concede, albeit in this competition at home they keep clean sheets)
Another very quiet day today
