Standout stats
Profitable in-play opportunities

545pm - CSKA Moscow v Volga Nyzhnyi Novgorod - 1.24 home
Standout stats
- 5 wins out of 5 in league head to heads in favour of CSKA
- this is 5th v 15th ( of 16)
- This is really a must win for CSKA. a match in hand and only 8 points off top
- Of course it goes without saying that every match is a must win for Volga
CSKA Moscow
- only 2 defeats in 9 and post-Winter break, Loss, Win, Win
- 4 consecutive wins at home
- only 1 loss at home was v 3rd
- all wins bar that loss and a 0-0 v bottom at home
- solid first half at home, scoring 12 this season and conceding just 2
Volga
- 7 defeats in 8 matches
- 4 defeats in 5 away matches , conceding 6-5-3 and scoring in each one
- only 3 clean sheets this season
- against top 10, a score draw and 6 defeats.
- Volga tend to concede 2+ away and on 2 occasions conceding 5 and 6
- 64% over 3.5 goals away
- conceding 17 1st half and 14 2nd half away this season
Profitable in-play opportunities
- yes those prophetic words, this looks straightforward ( cue a Volga 0-3 win!!)
- with the amount of goals Volga concede away, it is likely there could be a goal before halftime
- Look for Volga to concede 2+ goals, up to 5/6 if CSKA really click
- Volga have scored in heavy(ish) away defeats to top teamsn, so if they score first, CSKA should get back into this match

6pm - Fenerbahce v Bursaspor - 1.38 home
Standout stats
- Fenerbahce are unbeaten in recent head to heads and have scored 3-3-4-3 in recent meetings ( albeit 2 in the cup)
- 1st v 12th. 7 points clear and 2 matches in hand. Complacency from Fener their only enemy?
Fenerbahce
- only 4 defeats all season came away from home
- 6 consecutive home wins
- have failed to score in only 2 matches
- have failed to score 2 goals at least at home in only 2 matches
- have only conceded more than 1 goal at home v 3rd and 4th
- 46% of home matches over 3.5 goals
Bursaspor
- only 2 wins in their last 8 matches both came at home and without conceding
- no win in 6 aways includes 4 consecutive away losses
- have lost away to 2nd, 3rd and 4th
- only 1 0-0 away
Profitable in-play opportunities
- famous last words, but this all looks a little straightforward for the home side, and as I said only complacency is their enemy presently. Bursaspor lose away to top 4, and Fenerbahce are clear in head to heads , scoring 3+ goals in the last 4 meetings. No halftime stats in Turkey.

6pm - Udinese v Catania - 1.73 home
Standout stats
- Udinese, Udinese, Draw, Catania, Catania in the last 5 head to heads really makes my life easier.
- 14th v bottom., Udinese are 11 points clear of the relegation zone. Catania will go 2nd bottom with a win, thanks to Sassuolo failing to get anything from Roma at the weekend
Udinese
- only 2 defeats in 9, both away and 1 v Roma , sees Udinese in reasonable recent form
- 3 wins and a draw in their last 4 at home
- 5 clean sheets in their last 9 matches
- unbeaten at home v teams below them with 3 wins and a draw
- 6 0-0's at halftime at home is around 43% of home matches
Catania
- only 1 win in 12 funnily enough against Roma! 5 defeats and a draw in their last 6 matches
- no away wins this season , all defeats bar 2 0-0 draws with 5th and 6th
- all defeats saw them conceding 2 goals minimum
- 5 0-0's at halftime away ( 1/3rd of away matches)
- have only scored 7 away and conceded 34
Profitable in-play opportunities
- head to heads relate that both teams can be competitive and the head to head momentum is with Catania .
- Catania's away form is the obvious angle here. The best they can hope for seems to be a 0-0. Usually it's a 2 goal at least loss for them away
- This might be 0-0 at halftime so no undue panic if it is.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7pm - Granada v Levante - 1.9 home
Standout stats
- both teams scored in 4 head to heads apart from the last match a 0-1 90th minute Granada winner
- 12th v 10th and Granada will be the most worried here, 3 points only from relegation
Granada
- tough to beat in their last 4 matches with Ath Madrid only managing a 1-0 latest
- an obvious story at home in their last 6 matches. -5 clean sheets and a 1-2 loss. 4 of those clean sheets resulted in wins
- only 1 draw at home
- 7 defeats and 2 2-0 wins against teams above them in the league
- 7 0-0's at halftime at home - 47% of matches
Levante
- 3 defeats in 4 and failed to score in 3 of those.
- failed to score in 3 of their last 4 away matches
- only 1 1-0 defeat , 3 wins and 3 draws away to teams below them in the league
- 6 0-0's at halftime away ( 40% of matches)
Profitable in-play opportunities
- need is greater with Granada, and recently they have shown their hand at home. Look for clean sheets and nick a win. And it's working!
- So, this might be 0-0 for a while. Both sides have a high percentage of matches 0-0 at halftime ( back 0-0 pre-match)
- Slight niggles here - Levanta seem able to cope against teams below them away and Granada loose more often v teams above them. These niggles might be negated by the proximity of these 2 teams in 12th and 10th

7pm - Steaua Bucharest v Botosani - 1.23 home
Standout stats
Profitable in-play opportunities
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8pm - Livorno v Inter - 1.89 away
Standout stats
- Inter win in head to heads but only one recent relevant head to head was a 2-0 this season
- 18th v 5th. Livorno have a game in hand over those threatened with relegation and will push out of the zone with a win. Inter Milan want to consolidate 5th spot but are 16 points shy of a covetted 3rd spot
Livorno
- only 3 wins in 19 matches sees Livorno in a spot of bother
- a draw with Napoli and a win over Bologna in their last 2 home matches
- only 3 clean sheets all season so will have to score 2 to win you'd think!
- Failed to score at home to Juventus, Parma and Roma, drew 1-1 with napoli recently
- tend to start scoring 2+ goals at home v 9th and lower
- have conceded in their last 19 matches
- 4 0-0's at halftime at home
- no home 0-0
Inter Milan
- a disappointing season. but have only lost 6 all season
- only 2 wins in their last 6 matches
- after 3 consecutive away defeats, Inter have won 2 and drawn 1 of their last 3 matches
- only 1 defeat in 8 matches shows they are tough to beat currently
- The sole defeat there was courtesy of a 90th minute Atalanta goal
- Inter have kept 4 clean sheets in their last 5 matches
- have beaten 2nd bottom and bottom 0-3 and 0-7 and are unbeaten home and away v 14th and below. 6 draws there though may offer solace to Livorno
- 4 0-0's at halftime away
- scored first in only half of away matches. Lost 2 1-0
Profitable in-play opportunities
- Inter tend to beat Livorno and keep a clean sheet. Livorno are having trouble scoring more than 1 goal against top 8 sides at home.
- Only 3 clean sheets all season suggests Livorno will concede, it's simply a waiting game if 0-0 for a while ( a bit like Olympiakos last night!!)
- Inter are tough to beat recently so I don't expect any shocks and will certainly get Livorno if Livorno score first
- For you speculators, Inter scored 10 goals v bottom 2 away without conceding so if you want to back over 4.5 goals if 0-0 for a while ( or lay under 4.5 goals) you may get some action, although don't go overboard. This Livorno side are fighting for their lives
8pm - Sunderland v West Ham - 2.22 home
Standout stats
- Sunderland have conceded only 1 goal in the last 5 meetings with West Ham
- this is 19th v 11th and you feel West Ham are safe. Sunderland will still be in the relegation zone with a win
Sunderland
- 4 defeats and a 0-0 last 5 matches are really not helping the Sunderland survival cause.
- have failed to score in 3 of their last 5 matches and in 4 of their last 5 home matches
- have strangely failed to score at home to all teams played 13th and lower
- only 3 0-0's at halftime at home
West Ham
- a season salvaged with 5 wins in their last 8 matches
- have lost their last 2 away matches
- beat 3rd bottom 0-2 and lost 2-1 to bottom away from home
- 7 0-0's at halftime away ( 47%)
Profitable in-play opportunities
- a messy match. Historically Sunderland keep clean sheets against the Hammers. But lately they have been having trouble scoring a goal which beckons in a 0-0 back to lay trade? How on earth can Sunderland win if they have failed to score at home to teams 13th and lower?
- West Ham's recent flurry of wins was most welcome to their Premiership hopes and they look the most likely despite the aforementioned inability to score against Sunderland in head to heads
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9pm - Betis v Malaga - 2.26 home
Standout stats
- another match I would ordinarily not bother with but let's see what the stats come up with
- Betis won the last head to head at Betis 3-0 but sandwiched between a 3-2 and 4-0 Malaga home win
- 20th v 14th and realistically betis are down . Malaga themselves are 2 points from relegation
Betis
- only 1 defeat in 5 for Betis so they're fighting for it, but are 8 points shy of 2nd bottom
- failing to score in 5 of their last 8 matches is a concern though
- Betis's positive home results have come against 7th-13th inclusive where they have won won 3, drawn 2 and lost 1. Of course malaga are just below 13th
- 5 0-0's at halftime at home ( 33%)
Malaga
- only 2 defeats in 6 for Malaga, both at home and one v Real Madrid so reasonable recent form
- Draw and 2 wins in their last 3 away matches with all clean sheets
- solid against teams below them away with 3 clean sheets, 2 draws, 2 wins
- 6 0-0's at halftime away
Profitable in-play opportunities
- A laissez-faire attitude from Betis might see a positive turn? Only 1 defeat in 5.
- malaga tend to cope with teams below them when away from home so I would favour them in what is a relegation 6 pointer ( I expect Betis to be professional until it's a mathematical certainty they are down)
- This might be 0-0 for a while
