drt bulletin 26th May 2014

HJK won 1-0. I was pleased with the research for the Malmo match which signalled both teams scoring and the potential for AIK to score 2 goals away from home ( again!). It ended 2-2.
Belgium did what 1.08 shots do, and that is to score shed loads. A welcome run around for the dark horses for Brazil.

1130am - Japan v Cyprus - 1.17 home
  • the Japs have conceded in 13 of their last 14 matches.
  • recent friendlies have seen them playing the likes of Netherlands( 2-2), Belgium 2-3, and New Zealand ( 4-2). Goal laden affairs and you suspect Cyprus might be on the end of 2+ goals.
  • Japan have won their last 3 homefriendlies against Guatemala, Ghana and New Zealand, scoring 3-3-2. In fact in recent home friendlies, they have scored 3-2-0-2-3-3-4
  • Cyprus are on a 2 match 0-0 run
  • Cyprus have failed to score in 8 of their last 9 matches in all competitions.
  • only 2 wins in 15 friendlies were against Moldova and Andorra.
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • 3/4 goals surely from the Japs today against an opponent who finds it difficult to score. This opens the door for a correct score to nil punt to enhance the returns. 3-0 starters?

7pm - FK Dainava v Banga - 1.07 away
  • this is a Lithuanian top flight match
  • 4-0 and 6-0 for Banga in the 2 2014 head to heads suggests the odds are correct here. Starting scoreline at 5-0 perhaps for an interest in what is unlikely to be a DRT match.
  • I would look for a concerted 0-0 here and then back over 4.5 goals at enhanced odds -that kind of play.
  • Also if it's 0-0 coming to the half hour mark, lay the 0-0 halftime score. 1.07 shots are really expected to at least get a first half goal.

8pm - France v Norway - 1.45 home
  • this is another pipe-opener for the World Cup and we expect the Frogs to field their first team, just as the Belgians did yesterday.
  • The odds look a  little tentative at 1.45, I'd have expected shorter.
  • the last friendly played was in 2010 between these 2 so is not relevant
  • 5 wins and a loss to Ukraine in France's last 6 matches. 6 clean sheets in their last 7 matches
  • only 3 defeats in 23 home matches in all competitions, 2 of those defeats were v Spain and Germany, suggests today's match heavily favours the home side.
  • 4 consecutive home wins to nil
  • France recently lost to Germany, Brazil and Uruguay in friendlies, all 3 solid teams. Recent wins v Australia and Netherlands.
  • only 1 win in 8 for Norway was against Moldova.
  • only 1 win in their last 7 away matches .
  • only 2 draws for Norway in friendlies since 2008.Norway have recently conceded 4 against Sweden, 2 against Denmark, 3 against Poland, and 2 against the Czechs
Profitable in-play opportunities
  • this is the first of 3 friendlies for France, so we may see team changes in each of those matches. This Im afraid is what we face with friendlies. They are an experimental mechanism for management so results must be taken with a pinch of salt.
  • Looking at past history, though and France seem to have s strong defensive bent, so look to them totry and keep a clean sheet today.
  • Norway are on a poor run, conceding 2-4 goals regularly, so factor that in today for a French side who have only lost to the big guns.
  • Norway tend to avoid draws, only 2 in friendlies since 2008.
